Yet that's not true. Not in my case. It might have been true before but it's not true any longer. I tried searching for "App A" in the app store and it prompted me to purchase it. Tech support who I contacted also indicated I would have to re-purchase all the content. Also, even if the apps worked, that would only be a small fraction of my total content. To be fair the tech (and her supervisor) I talked to claimed they did try and make an exception (that the apps and data would be in my download queue if they were available in Country B and I could make a local backup), but when that failed, they told me I was SOL and would have to repurchase as they originally told me.
Do tablets have DVD drives? Do newer Macbooks? And to rip one you need to download something to circumvent css encryption which is illegal in the United States, so if you want to quibble about the details of 50 pages of legalese that changes ever release, I can quibble about that. Yes, I knew stuff I purchased (Apple's word) was licensed to me. Yes, I knew purchased content was not transferable between accounts. Yes, I knew not all items were available in all stores, but not in a million years did I expect they to revoke *access* to content I had already purchased in Country A simply because I switched accounts to Country B. I expected a different store. I did not expect to lose access to all my downloads, especially since the vast majority of those were also available in Country B's store. I contacted Apple and they said they "tried" to make an exception, and I should re-check my downloads queue. When nothing changed, they told me I was out of luck and I would have to re-purchase everything. That is absurd. I don't care whether the data was "licensed" or not. It's horrible customer service and totally unusual compared to the fantastic experiences I was used to.
Read the Wikipedia article on the MB if you have to ask why it's so scary, and where it originated from. It's not so much the "Muslim Brotherhood" proper with it's political face, it's it's armed wings, such as the Muslim Brotherhood in Palestine (Hamas).
Actually. Before you call them all uneducated and poor you might actually want to look into their backgrounds. Just for shits, look into the backgrounds of the 9/11 bombers. Then pick some more at random. Truth is they blow themselves up, not because they're poor and desperate, but because they're so religiously deluded that they think they'll go to paradise if they are killed in the process of killing the kufr. That's religion to blame, not some socio-economic excuse.
Course neither party are innocent, or friendly to US interests. Therefore we should stay the hell out of it. I really see no problems at all with two sets of our enemies slaughtering each other. It sucks to be civilians in the middle of it but... oh well. Shit's bad in lots of places. Not our place to fix it.
That too. I had bought apple for years. I spend probably well over ten grand on apple products and from my first Powerbook 17" to my G5 tower, and the list goes on and on. Never in a thousand years did I think such a customer focused company would screw me like they did... but they did. And as a result they lost a loyal customer and Apple "evangelist" who will never, ever, again buy an Apple product.
Yours is an extreme minority view (and even that minority would acknowledge that the vast majority of the time, "y'all" is plural. If you speak french or another language, "y'all" takes the place of "vous" or the second person plural pronoun missing in English. "Y'all" indeed does usually refer to a group. Where "all y'all" differs from all "y'all" is that "all y'all" more emphatically refers to the entirety of a group. There is a good example on the linked Wikipedia article.
Many games are a gig (or two) a pop. We're talking FPS games, RTS... stuff with lots of hi-res textures and cut-scene video. With regular apps, you're probably right, but gamers are going to want more space.
iCloud is also useless if you switch countries. I bought hundreds of apps, movies, and TV content in country A, moved to country b, cancelled my credit card, and changed my account information on my iTunes account. Suddenly there were no more downloads listed. I contacted apple, having had great experience with them in the past, and their response was that if I did not have a physical backup, i would have to repurchase all the content. The next day I sold my iPad, am in the process of selling my 17" MBP, and am about to buy a Nexus tablet. Moral of the story: never, ever, trust the cloud. That being said, all my android apps still work after the move and my phone doesn't seem to mind the new credit card. I get a new store but I can still download my old apps.
Seriously. The fuck should it matter to an argument what's in somebody's blood chemistry. Either the argument stands on it's merits or it doesn't. Motive, or lack thereof, is irrelevant.
But as it is "Bad ESN" cdma phones are being sold on CL. I can see this making it less lucrative, but not stopping it entirely -- especially since the big phone theft rings like they had in the DC area last year repair the phones and send them overseas to be sold in the middle east.
They are. It takes time to catch the small fish and work your way all the way to the top. A huge cell phone theft ring was broken up in the DC area last year. YMMV but some police jurisdictions are actually trying to combat this.
You could always flash it with a good ESN you got from some other phone -- perhaps an irreparably broken one or an old phone of a different model. There is software that'll do it. That'll get you back on VZW / Sprint, or wherever the phone came from and is likely a lot easier than the full flashing process you're talking about. Look on craigslist. There are plenty of "Bad ESN" phones being sold out there, especially with cracked screens (or badly repaired ones). I'm willing to bet most thieves don't ask you which carrier you're on before they knock your phone out of your hand. They have to offload the CDMA phones somehow and there is a market.
You can bypass the account setup by pressing all four corners of the android image in a clockwise motion starting from the top left. No need for a custom rom.
So install an AOSP rom like CyanogenMod. No need to have any Google apps installed at all unless you really want. You can also bypass the Google account setup by pressing all four corners at the android screen in a clockwise motion starting from the top left.
No. Pentile RGBG is a pixel layout scheme almost always found on the display type: AMOLED. Apart from the Nexus One, S, and Galaxy Nexus, no Nexus devices feature this scheme.
I think it's up to personal preference. I have a Samsung Galaxy S and personally I like the pentile pixel layout better. It looks somehow smoother to me. The pixels aren't square so it's a less "jagged" feel. That combined with it being an AMOLED display makes it very nice for reading text, and on a black background, very battery efficient.
They absolutely know about their religion. Jesus of the bible is not considered to be the same as Jesus in the Qur'an. Fundamentalist Muslims consider the Bible to be corrupted scripture (by Jews, of course), and Christians who worship the trinity to be polytheists, not protected "people of the book". It's western useful idiots who know one or two peaceful (abrogated) verses of the Qur'an and parade them around as if they know what they're talking about that's the problem.
As far as many Salafist / Wahhabi / fundamentalist Muslim beliefs go, they do not consider the Jesus of the Bible to be a prophet. They believe that the Jews corrupted Christian scripture and only their Jesus character is the true one. Similarly, only those who believe in their Jesus (who was not a god according to them) are considered to actually be "Christian" for the purposes of special benefits outlined in the Qur'an. Who we would consider to be Christians, they would consider to be polytheists (believing in the Trinity). You can read Sura 9 for yourself if you want to know what happens to polytheists.
" the USA is out of control like a beheaded chicken running to wherever it happens to go." -- a lot more accurate than you might think. I totally agree on your solution, however. Nuclear, FTW. Thorium should be looked into also.
Are you fucking kidding me? Read the wikipedia articles on the war of independence, the 6 day war, and the Yom Kippur war. The come back and tell me it was just a bunch of "terrorist gangs" (well, in part, I agree). And for your information, Hamas, the democratically elected government of Gaza, has taken responsibility for rocket attacks. Nobody with half a brain denies Hezbollah is an Iranian proxy and so is Syria. In reality it matters little. If your neighbor fires over 10000 rockets in the space of a few months over the border at you, you do what is necessary to stop it, even if it means a blockade or an invasion. Every country has a right to self defense. Is Israel perfect? No. But it's probably the most humane country in the region by FAR. Are the Gazans starving? No. They are most certainly not. Have you seen some of the night clubs and hotels in Gaza? Some of the food bazars? If you're concerned about humanitarian suffering, send a fucking flotilla to Syria unless, of course, you hold Arabs to such a low standard the killing of 30-40k people is just something you expect from them.
That's not the point. The point is that you can't threaten somebody with something you don't even acknowledge you posess! The mere threat would be an admission! It's not fucking rocket science.

That's only because most android devices have a very limited app partition. The data is still going on the internal SD "card".

Bush was an idiot, no question. Nothing he did was good for our foreign policy. Obama is no better, however.
no arguments here, and no matter who wins in November, nothing will likely improve.
