I disagree. I prefer the removal of bush via razor, as do most I'm in contact with. In this instance, bladed instruments are not allowed within twenty yards of the man due to his intellectual prowess, or lack thereof. Therefore we must simply vote him out of office. Yes, I'm sure the Lesbian/Gay community would Love Bush being in office another four years. You know, because he considers them the childer of Satan... and refuses to allow them the legal rights of others. But let's not get off topic here.

  2. Good to hear. Sort of. on AOL Files First Spim Lawsuit · · Score: 1

Been using AIM for around six years now, and I've been on Spim lists about a dozen times. My blocklist is around 340 names long. I don't put my aim handle on boards anymore because it only happens when I've done that in the past. The fact we have to be so secretive with our contact information is mildly irritating sometimes. =/ Glad to see it's being taken care of... but not by lawsuit. I'd much prefer a law that could take care of it, and a more effective warning system in addition... rather than more lawsuits. Perhaps one that targetted an IP so the bots couldn't just switch names and spim more.

that is not the definition stated by the law listed... i agree with you, but apparently the federal court systems do not.

I was glancing at the law and noticed the term Protected Computers, and noticed the definitition listed was an obscure law reference, so i followed it, and realized the truth of the matter. The term Protected Computer refers to Financial Institution or Government Computers. Aint that cute? They protect themselves, but leave the citizens vulnerable as hell. The definition can be found here. http://www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/18/1030.html It's about 3/4 of the way down the page.

with no warning of a spoiler, while reading a bio, i expected nothing more than a summary of a character. not a full fledged description of how he is involved with the ending.

  8. Spoilers on TheOneRing.net... on LOTR:Return Of The King Trailer · · Score: 1

the irritating thing was that i belive it was TheOneRing.net that fucked it all up for me. i'm one of the few that hadn't read the books a billion times in my childhood and was watching the movies for the first time... experiencing the story piece by piece via the movie. i planned on reading the book after the movies finished up, but as i was browsing for information on gollum, as he was by far my favorite character... i came upon the final ending. which pissed me off to no end. no warnings, no spoiler alerts. a simple sentence fucked the entire experience for me. so... what could quite possibly be the best story ever told, i learned the ending to pre-emptively due to that site. this may not have happened to anyone else, but by fucking god it pissed me off. again, spoiler alert- this is the the BIO PAGE that fucked it all up for me that they have absolutely no alert for. if you dont know the story, dont click this link. http://www.theonering.net/movie/char/smeagol.html in any case... it's completely unrelated, i just wanted to post a rant about how pissed off i was that i had found that. i am, however, looking forward to the movie. i will not, however, open that vid as i don't want to learn anymore than i already do.

the entire subject is entirely open to arguement, obviously. some people see it as stealing, some dont. my opinion tends to shift to either side of the board slightly, but the riaa's actions have not influenced me whatsoever into buying any of their or their artist's cd's with their recent actions. they dont even know if they're suing the right person anymore for fuckssake. there could have been better ways to approach the downloading craze, but they obviously thought flooding the court was the best method... which makes me hate them all the more.

  10. Lunacy abound... on U.S. Court Blocks Anti-Telemarketing List · · Score: 1

jesus christ, i cannot believe they actually went forward with bringing a government act to court. seems like corporations are trying to bend laws more and more now. Look, you know those signs on people's front doors that say NO SOLICITING? that means we dont want your peddling, we dont want to be marketed. the do not call list is just another form of a no soliciting sign, in my opinion. drugs are illegal, and yet that puts thousands of people out of business by legal terms as well... are dealers gonna take the government to court to go against drug laws as well? i hate telemarketers.
