I noticed this at the very top of the linked article about the lack of stability ...

Things have really been going downhill since I upgraded to Mac OS X Tiger (10.4) a few weeks back.

Doesn't sound very fair to blame the app for a potentially botched OS upgrade ...

Cedega. http://www.transgaming.org/ http://www.transgaming.com/ Works great for me and no need for Windows at home ... I played Everquest with Cedega up until November of 2004 and then moved on to World Of Warcraft. These games play flawlessly. It's not free for the packaged version but the CVS installs are. I pay $5 a month to support the project and well worth every dollar.

Or if this was what came from the UK as to what happened ... well although I don't have any MS logos tatooed on me but maybe the problem in their case wasn't really MS but with the implimentors ...

Well there are several reasons. Tons of applications that serve sales people critical sales tools are built around Exchange and it's services, contacts and resource management. I'm no huge fan of Exchange and would love to see something that can do everything that Exchange can with MS and non-MS clients. I don't have a multitude of examples but I'll give one here: http://www.saleslogix.com/home/default.php3

Those of you still playing games under windows should seriously consider www.transgaming.com for WineX. Currently, I play EverQuest, Tron 2.0, American McGee's Alice perfectly under WineX. Those are the only games I play and have tried under WineX but with the heavy requirements that they carry I'm sure most any other game works just fine. Since the latest release of WineX 3.2 I've since removed my Windows partition and run linux only at home.

I distinctly remember seeing Star Wars way back in the day when I was a 10 year old kid. I loved it then because I *was* a kid and loved every bit of the merchandising of it too. Shame I still don't have all of those old toys as they are worth a fortune to the millions of other people who don't seem to share your opinion. It's a kids movie from start to finish. Are you expecting some sort of R-Rated skin flick bloddy change to happen to it just because you are 20 years older?

Children have the same basic fundemental rights and althought not clearly defined by the US Bill of Rights, your statements are not completely true. In the example of driving, first and foremost it's not a "right"; it's a priviledge. A priviledge determined at the state level that my 16 year old child has. Children can and do get the same rights as adults in a court of law. The laws and right of the child will again vary from state to state but the same basic elements are there. I'm not going to provide google links to specific examples -- I'm speaking from experience. Children are not awarded every right that adults have, true. But, it is not "the job of the child to earn those responsibilites". Children are the product of their environment and thier upgringing and their gene pool. To think that "A child should learn to deal with those rights and responsibilites irrespective of the parents and the upbringing they receive" is absolutely insane. Children must be taught what is wrong and what is right -- ala garbage in garbage out. I have 5 of my own and I do my absolute best to make sure they are programmed for success and to do what is "right" by my familiy's moral standards ... which, like laws and rights, will vary from family to family.

I read the articles from the links and fail to see any correlation to fairness dealing with technology. Perhaps what you meant to say was a fair view on his interpretation of copyright vs an author looking to milk a cash cow by not bringing the obvious truth to light at a much earlier time to avoid it being violated in the first place. This looks strikingly similar to SCO vs Linux debate and I can see where that can lead as a precident.
