Unless, of course, you use Diffie-Hellman to produce the symmetric session key, so you don't have to send even an encrypted key over the Internet. Then the asymmetric private/public keypairs are only used for authentication and do not encrypt the session key or data in any meaningful way.

Worst shave of my life too. Ouch.

p.s. Mach 3 Power Nitro has to be one of the worst names for anything, let alone a lowly razor.

Wow, I stand corrected. I do think keeping exotic pest species out of Australia is worth pissing a few shipping companies off though.

I also think that maybe a land reforested and devoid of people (a la Tim Flannery's "Future Eaters") would be a good thing too.

I didn't realize that the netcat people had trademarked that name. Seriously though, I just used this metaphor to show that ssh is not just a secure way to log in to some server (and I have heard it referred to as a Swiss Army knife before, by the O'Reilly people no less).

I didn't say he did invent ssh, but I believe he has been the main popularizer of it by giving all and sundry a free version of it.

Where did he take it back to, the retailer? Why did he have to take his computer back? Did it break? Did firefox break it? Gee, I'd better not get this firefox virus then.

Maybe they should have had him say "I took back CONTROL OF my computer with Mozilla Firefox".

Some may argue here that it's quite obvious what it means. For some, yes, but I think it's quite ambiguous.

For an obvious rip off from Apple's site, they should take note of the straightforward method Apple uses.

We got a retard because we voted badly. We can only blame ourselves, not the punch cards. Diebold sounds pretty diabolical methinks.
