Only piece of the puzzle left is gaming. Once we have gaming, drivers on Linux (for anything consumer oriented atleast) will no longer be a problem. I definitely see that happening within the next 3 years, but we as a Linux community HAVE TO back whichever video card manufacturer gives us the best Linux drivers.

Agreed.... This is THE only thing holding me back from converting my desktops to linux. Servers are no issue. The linux server worls is amazing. The gaming is still awful tho and i won't run linux on my desktops just to say I can while I still can't run most of my games....

He gives a friggin ton of money to help ALOT of people, and i'm sorry but the socialist argument that he isn't giving enough doesn't wash here. He is generous and you can't argue that. I'm not a huge fan of the monopoly and strongarm tactics either but ya can't argue with that. (though i'm sure alot of you will anyway- heh)

I'm hearing everyone rant about it's not the sex, it's the violence, but I wonder what everyone would be saying if Congress tried to do something about the violence in these games. *rolls eyes*. I'm not a puritan by any stretch of the imagination (and yeah I'm a Christian) but I don't think it's that big a deal to want to try to steer games into healthier directions. Don't get me wrong, I love a shoot-em-up as much as the next guy, but I'll watch what my younger kids play until their minds are old enough to be able to discern what is appropriate, what is not,and what is somewhere in the middle but still fun. I don't see much point in having graphic sexual stuff in these games besides the titillation, and if anyone can honestly say that America's kids are not being affected by the constant stream of sex in our culture then i'll eat my hat. Obviously it's my job as a future parent to guard them, but if the culture keeps making it more and more difficult to guard them by pushing this stuff into every nook and cranny of society HOW should a parent guard them? Can't lock them up. They want and deserve appropriate amounts of freedom and privacy too. Where's the line for this stuff? Can someone please shed some light on that? What should I tell my 12 or 13 year olds when they start giving/getting blowjobs or more? It is happening. My wife is a middle school teacher and you should hear the stories. Can't tell me it's not because they're absorbing more.

Funny how there's no hard evidence for these claims but people still persist in believing. People really throw that word troll around loosely nowadays. Can't really see how it's being a troll to ask for facts. Is it trolling to discuss this stuff in an open way? More and more people are being modded troll for simply having an opposing point of view to the liberal propaganda or more often for asking for you guys to back up your claims. Sorry but I don't buy arguments just because they are being made. But thanks for the links. I will cehck them out. Really- I'm not being a troll. I'm trying to understand your side of the story.

I just can't understand why these vicious filthy idiots can murder people repeatedly and yet the left coddles them and supports them instead of the people working to fight these evil bastards. As soon as I can after work today I'm going to post a copy of a letter written to the editor of The New-Herald from Perkasie, PA, my local hometown paper that states everything so perfectly it's not even funny. A Shameless Ratings Grab (as an old friend once described similar currents in the TV Network world). I mean they were over the top trying to whip people up just to sell more mags. Once I saw it, I swore I wouldn't put up with any more of their hyper-inflated nonsense. Most of it really just seemed speculative anyway. Not missing much, IMHO.
