And it's appearance is bolt in. Except for the themes, that differ very little in their page layout, every nuke looks the same and feels just as stupid.

I was having the same problems with it. It's about the openGL acceleration of your video card. Blender's interface is generated with openGL, so if your card is slow at that, the interface will also be slow. Especially if you have a laptop, as they tend to support opengl poorly.

Man, you should check more often those p2p sources. Most are above 160 kbps and at least 1/3 are at 320 kbps.:)
I can't stand the Windows implementation.
First, I don't trust it with my data.
Second, my explorer doesn't show me the size of the data that I want to copy. (Maybe it's because I don't enable webpage view).
Third, there is no progres indicator when burning.
And does it burn dvds?
The Zope Corporation did something very similar to this with their Zope product, and it benefited them a lot. But of course, the scales are different. I am curios about the outcome of Sun and I hope that they succed in what they wish to achieve, seeing as they are supporters of open source and a cool company.
That is completely wrong to think like that.
In an organization there are various stakeholders. I, as a user of one's services, qualify in that view as a client. Google has to "sell" me their services, in order to make money. So I've never paid Google anything in my life, but from a management point of view, I qualify as their client.
I know, only today I found that they have an updated version that plays flac files, I've used Winamp for those until now. But today I've completely replaced Winamp. Fortunately (?) for me, I'm using Windows right now, so I can enjoy the.4 release.
> No one I knew would ever record on a separate tape recorder though, if that's what you're suggesting.
I did it!:) I've had a tape recorder and a radio-casette player whose recording quality sucked, so I had to do it that way:) Eventualy I've opened the radio and wired directly into the input of the tape recorder. Also, I had to modify the frequencies of the radio, as it only had American FM range and I needed European. Ah, memories...
Like itunes, but open source and really really slim on resource usage. Really, I've never been so excited with a player since I've found wxMusik. It has a media library, dinamic queries,it's interface is slim, just give it a try!
There are several utilities (one is built into KDE I think) designed for disabled people that should help with auto-clicking if the mouse is held in a place more than a few seconds.
What is that browser that you're talking about?
And no, censorship is not to be allowed under any circumstance. Google is not a private company anymore, but a public one and their existence depends on their public. So they owe to their clients (the public) unfiltered and uncensored results.
And samurize uses python for its plugins. That means complete freedom and a language that is easier to program and a standard library that is a lot bigger. There, now you have it.
Chandler is an open source application that is intended to replace and revolutionize PIM and messaging. At least one team member worked on Lotus Agenda. So, with a bit of luck you might get in the near future a replacement for your Notes:)

Why? Is it so hard to design a website without popups?
Yeah, but imagine the login screen :)

Since when is Windows XP equivalent to Fedora?
Windows XP doesn't give you:Now, if you would like to add to the windows XP cd the 4 that come only with office, you'll get a lot more than that.
Also, there are 1 cd distros: see Knoppix, for example. Not every distribution has to be exactly the same and suited just for you.
Fuck off.
There are already office products for Palm that offer seamless integration with Microsoft Office.

Yes. You can always try another university.

The name of a German city. Insightful, huh? :-)
Actually, it's Fedora 3' release name.
Nah.. can't be that. I bet those 23% were just the trolls :=)

They have ported linux and in for virtual hosting it's what matters. It serves its purpose perfectly right.

Sure, but it will only apply to their windows 2000 product :)
