Unless I'm seeing things, this link: http://www.ati.com/products/RadeonX1900/specs.html shows that this card is HDCP ready and that the line hasn't been removed at all. Is it ready or isn't it? If it is ready, the this whole story is a waste of time.
I work for Ernie Ball's IT department and was here 5 years ago when the shit hit the fan. The rockin' on article describes it all very well. The truth is, we downloaded the BSA tools and they DIDN'T WORK. I had proof that I had downloaded them a couple of weeks before the armed guards came storming in. It didn't matter to them. We have been completely M$ free since then and have had no problems at all.
I did the same thing, but IE keeps popping up with addware even though the tool said it removed the program causing it. I use netscape and had to rename iexplore.exe to an un-executable file. That's the only workaround I could come up with. I hate MS. Just have it so kids can play their games. + free aol account and can't port it to linux...
I run a RedHat 9 central server that has OpenOffice and Ximian Evolution. Our thin clients and old 486 machines do an X query to the central server and an x session is displayed. This has been a great benifit as it cut administration time and has eliminated the need for re-boots. Also there is no need for licence administration. (unless SCO gets their way!)
I agree it is a program that has everything a user needs. It took a little training to get heavy spreadsheet users to figure out pivot tables and such, but for the most part, we have been working just fine. We started with StarOffice 5.2 three years ago and have obviosly saved tens of thousands of dollars not having to purchase M$ planned obsolescence bloatware. Not only that, but the company wide switch to linux works just as well.
What about a overweight actor in a butterfly suite?? If that doesn't turn people off of m$, what makes you think it's the penguin inhibiting Linux? People don't buy products because of logos. They buy because they are bombarded with adds that show the logos 24/7.

Richard lied to investigators by claiming he sold the domain name to a Virginia company Whois says it is owned by a Virginia company.
I hope this thing isn't running m$. It could give new meening to the BSOD!
