Except they didn't kill out of atheïsm, but they found communist reasons to kill and oppress those of different persuasions.
There actions found it's base in the communist ideology which has no respect for the life/rights of the individual.
Don't blame the atheïsts for the horrible communist regime.
There were allready plans for this, the so-called Ipod-Tax.
Seems that microsoft would rather beat local legislation introducing this, instead of putting the customer first. Time will tell if this was a good move. I for one, won't be buying this zune crap. On the other hand, I've never purchased a Microsoft product and they seem to be doing just fine without me.
I agree with you, but have to point out that the default windows mediaplayer has mp3 support. But your right about issues like DVD playback. Also, you don't have xvid or mkv playback. So the average Joe still needs a savvy user to explain this codec stuff, or point him to videolan.
Just FYI but that doesn't work that way all over the world.
In belgium for example you will allways remain the copyright holder until the copyright expires (a while afther your death). In other words: you simply can't put your own creations in the public domain.
That's why licences are important: you need a legal base for distributing your work.
It's been done and spam hasn't stopped. Russia's Biggest Spammer Brutally Murdered in Apartment
Vardan Kushnir, notorious for sending spam to each and every citizen of Russia who appeared to have an e-mail, was found dead in his Moscow apartment on Sunday, Interfax reported Monday. He died after suffering repeated blows to the head.
Basicly you can do this without a gps. Mount a covert muted cellphone in your car, and when it's stolen ask the police to contact your cell service provider to trace the phone.
There was a howto the net somewhere regarding this topic, but I can't seem to find the link.
Skinner: Well, I was wrong. The lizards are a godsend. Lisa: But isn't that a bit short-sighted? What happens when we're
overrun by lizards? Skinner: No problem. We simply unleash wave after wave of Chinese
needle snakes. They'll wipe out the lizards. Lisa: But aren't the snakes even worse? Skinner: Yes, but we're prepared for that. We've lined up a fabulous
type of gorilla that thrives on snake meat. Lisa: But then we're stuck with gorillas! Skinner: No, that's the beautiful part. When wintertime rolls around,
the gorillas simply freeze to death.
I don't quite follow the round robin solution. Wouldn't that mean that I'd have to press send/recieve for 20 times and there could still be a chance that some of my mail is left on a missed server ?
"Spending all this money on computers and multimedia stuff is great, but it's always at the expense of having actual BOOKS."
I guess that's where you're wrong.
Library meetings don't go: "hey, we have some money left, let's go buy some books." these things are budgeted.
My point is that libraries provide acces to information and I salute them for keeping up with modern times. The main thing I like about modern libraries is that they provide free internet access. I believe that in a good democracy every citizen should be able to get online for free. It's a part of being informed, since without information democracy is impossible.
Internet is a part of that, just as books and magazines are.
Shouldn't worry about that.
The code is gpl, the name is trademarked. The developers went their own way.
There are still going to be new releases only the name will change.
And yes, I'm sure you can easely upgrade from mambo to $newname. From my point of view, the new mambo is going to be even more free than it was before.
This actually isn't a 'open source' problem since closed source licences (and prices) can change in new versions of the product your using.
With open source you have at least the freedom to 'take the code and run' when the maintainers of that code do something you're not happy with.
I agree with parent.
In Belgium there's somebody watching the dressing rooms. When you enter you get a big plastic card with a number on it, the numer of items you take with you.
Upon leaving the area a staff member takes that card back and discretely checks the items you're holding. Works like a charm.
That's technically possible at this moment. If the 911 service could get a hotline or so to the providers they can easely geolocate a person based on the gsm.
I know of a case here in Belgium where a boy, sent goodbye sms'es to friends claiming that he would commit suicide. His friends notified the police who tracked him by his cellphone to a train. At the next stop he was arrested.
Another example was a belgian politician who drowned himself but left his phone by the edge of the lake so he could be easely found.
Ipv4 was about 0.71 address per person, ipv6 is more like 47000 ip's per person.

Google bought Youtube recently. Guess you didn't get the memo.

It's small and you can run the exe straight from the site. No install needed.
This is basicly the script from Alien Autopsy.

Those links are 'registration only' or dead, another (compressed version) is here.
Your bandwith is virtually free and unlimited, since it works on ad-hoc networks.
So, if you don't like it, just erase it.

Not true.
