I've only seen a couple users' computers that had more than a few hundred Windows spybots, but last week I worked on a computer that had 8000+ variations of the latest Windows viruses and worms.
This is off topic, and I know it's been said before, but out of the box support for Linmodems is far larger of a problem for the non-technical user. JP

It's an OK article to get curious Windows users to switch. The videos are a nice touch. But on the desktop usability page there's a reference to typing 'unmount' to unattach the drive. JP

The rover itself doesn't use java, but the program JPL uses to 'steer' the rover, SAP, is written in java, as is the public/freeware equivelent Maestro.
I took classes at a now defunct place called the Center for Creative Imaging in the early 90s. They were sponsored by Kodak.
The instructors, who worked for Kodak IIRC, were speculating on how long until film cameras were replaced by digital ones. We were editing and printing our photos digitally, but still developing them chemically, and scanning them in.
I'm suprised it took Kodak this long.
