Hear, hear! I bought SuSE 8.1 (that's how much I liked 7.3) for my desktop when it came out 2000-ish and now they've stopped rolling out security updates forcing me to upgrade. I don't want to upgrade because it's a hassle and I don't have the time or the need right now --- but I guess I'll have to! I think my next OS may actually be Debian with apt-get and a slow release-cycle.
In a nutshell: the upcoming 10.2 becomes a transitional release, labeled 'Limited Edition 2005.'... ["]I was quite disappointed when I discovered that a new roadmap has been announced and that there will NOT be any 10.2["]
So the unhappy Mandrake community members are the ones that don't understand the new naming scheme?
quite simply, it's because most people (scientists included) quite simply don't have enough information to say for a FACT that THIS or THAT is causing ozone depletion
So I gather you're saying that scientists don't have enough information to predict global warming - and in a sens you are right. The climate is a very chaotic system and the only way to see if global warming will truly occur is to sit back and wait. There are how ever a plethora of both simple and very sophisticated methods that show that global warming is very likely to occur.
So very likely to occur is not certain, but would you go on to an aeroplane knowing that it is very likely to crash?
