There is a Vietnamese language version of OpenOffice.org but it still will not be as popular as pirated versions of MS Office. No one wants to switch to Linux.
A couple years ago, the Vietnamese government initiated a program to promote usuage of open source software but it has panned out to nothing. A friend and I formed SaigonLUG, there is a new HanoiLUG entity as well, but there is relatively little interest in open source software.
On a more positive note, there is a very active VietLUG group outside of Vietnam that will play in active role in promoting Linux and OSS to Vietnam with the local language.
Hey, I have used the Amiga 500 the longest of any computers I ever owned. From 1991-1996 to be exact and it was actually a pass me down from my father who upgraded to the Amiga 1000. I continued to use it in college despite the protests of my professors telling me that I needed to use a PC or Macintosh.
I remember way back in the early 90s the music industry stating that CDs would be priced similarly to cassette tapes. I think the music industry should drop prices to $8.00 per CD to get my business and respect back.
Try the Motorola e6 Rokr. You can get a terminal hack from MotorolaFans.com. I also use the Nokia N800 as well.

And when no one is looking, they are making business deals with the very same SAME Vietnamese government they are protesting against...
