    Developers block, like writers block means you are out of ideas. You clearly stated you have plenty of ideas.
    Your problem is motivation. If you've really been working on that project for six months, maybe it's time for a vacation.
    If the vacation doesn't fix your motivation problem, then you may want to truly evaluate if you are suited to sole programmer work,
    or if you are even suited to programming professionally.

    There are only 94.5 million cattle in the U.S. now versus 60 to 100 million bison in the 19th century.
    That's pretty much a wash, so blaming any alleged global warming (or climate change or whatever you dopes are calling it these days) on cows just doesn't fly.

    Cuz, you know...it's not like a terrorist or some wanted felon would think to try and sneak on a plane by taking a drug that masked his fingerprints.
    ...and I'm sure no one would be at all outraged if he managed to get into the cockpit and fly the plane into crash it into something.
    I'm sure you'd give the guy taking the fingerprints a pass on his failure to follow the protocol.

    Agreed.
    None of the WoW players people I personally know
    (meaning I regularly see them with my own eyes out in the real world)
    fit into that lardball living with mommy sterotype.
    I'm sure there are plenty of them out there though.

    Personally, I don't care for raids and I only tolerate battlegrounds for better gear and to satisfy the occasional desire for PvP.
    I enjoy questing alone or in small groups. Doing the same quests again as a different class and race puts enough difference in to keep it from becoming mundane for me. When I'm tired of that, I can always suck it up and roll an Alliance character and play the other side.

    Actually, no, using any food crop for fuel is a bad idea. This ensures that the 3rd world are always starving by removing food crops for consumption and replacing them with crops that go into rich 1st world nations' cars.

    The corn that is used to make ethanol, would normally otherwise be used to feed cattle. People seem to ignore the
    fact that making ethanol does not *use up* all the corn. One of the left overs is what they call distillers grain, which gets sold off to feed cattle.

    Then everyone (including all those damn kids) would be able to play both horde and alliance on the same 'server' and all the obvious problems with that.

    Personally I don't care for sports data and have no favorite team.
    The big difference here is that I understand that most men DO like those things
    and I'm not offended when a business tries to cater to the guys who like that.
    It would be incredibly arrogant and self centered of me to complain and try to force
    that business to change just because they're not catering to my particular tastes.

    ...and to answer your question; yes, there are way too many stupid people in the world.

    This also shows good reason for you to think twice when someone is offering you a SERVICE instead of a tangible product.
    In this case there was both, but loss of service made the tangible product significantly less useful.

    The warrant lists many reasons (some bogus) why the warrant was to be issued.
    Including changing grades for students, illegally copying movies, "fixing" computers
    for other students so that the computer cannot be scanned for illegally obtained music, etc.
    They seized everything that could be used to store digital information.

    The people I've known that do html, css, and graphics were called a Web Designer.
    Developer implies your putting functionality in place.
    Designer implies making is pretty, and at least some basic UI design.
    A lot of web developers do both but most are only good at one or the other.

    That wasn't related to slashdot. It was directed at people.
    People looking around in their little boxed off world in which
    they exist with their 5 friends, and far overestimating their significance.
    Even if a half a million people blogged or twittered, it would not qualify as a massive outcry.
    Most of America (let alone the world) doesn't even know what twitter is,
    so making a sweeping claim based on an already insignificant subset of people is just ridiculous.

    I find it interesting that they didn't explain in the article in what way this machine is unreliable.

    Lastly, why didn't Google (of all companies) bake IPv6 in to these main apps when they were first written?

    Perhaps the best and brightest spent 18 months of extra time on the massage table and drinking smoothies.
    Then recently edited the .conf to include the line $IPV6 = 1;
