The UK can always ditch the JSF in favor of the Eurofighter. Maybe it won't work as well for them as the JSF would have, but OTOH the Eurofighter is not a security risk capable of crippling the RAF.

A coding MMORPG! You first have to spend hours leveling up your project by grinding with specification issues, then you can finally class change to Alpha and start implementing stuff (and if you're really good a high-level issue might even drop a unique solution!) - and if development takes too long you have to go gold farming in PHB territory. Once you have reached the Final class there's not much more to be done but PvP, though.

A book would probably be a good idea, but a) I don't know which ones are decent and b) I don't quite feel like shelling out thirty bucks for a book I'm not sure about.

    Any hints on something usable?

You do know that the name "UNIX" is a punny reference to MULTICS? The name has no redeeming qualitites of its own. It's even misleading: MULTICS stood for "Multiplexed Information & Computing Service". UNIX would be the "Uniplexed Information & Computing Service", implying a single user OS.

So essentially the name of Linux implies that it's a clone of a single user operating system. Not quite good marketing, eh?

What's especially annoying about MySQL is that some of the more advanced functionality is in MaxDB, which is a separate product (although it doesn't seem to be more than a more professional MySQL). Things like UNION would be handy but aren't supported by MySQL.

However it's quite unlikely to ever see Postgres on a non-commercial site even if the admins have root access and could set it up. Because MySQL is the default and it's good enough. If it doesn't support UNION you can just make multiple queries instead.
    Bleh.

I do admit that I privately mainly use MySQL, but then again most of the tables I make hold twenty entries and are only ever accessed via "SELECT * FROM foo;"...

Okay, but if you take the people who are not consumer whores buying everything the TV tells them to (and I'm pretty sure that there are a couple tousand of those in the States) you might get someone besides the two big parties to show up on the radar. The goal would not be to get a third-party president but just to get a third party into Congress. To get people to notice that a vote for someone besides the Democrats or Republicans is not "thrown away". The long-term goal would be to get a small party enough market share that none of the big parties can govern by itself.
