but if twitter would let google access the data then they could bitch, but whining that they are not on google results, but yet want bags of money to be there...
Not sure how this is an anti-trust issue. Google ranks all accessable social network data there, but the only one they really have access to is G+.
I seem to see both as just "search", since i've been using google personalized search for years now. In combination with gmail and reader google seems to do a good job understating what i'm looking for.
hehe, a guy in my guild used to run 10 toons and "solo" 10 man raid content. In the end he was figuring out how to run 7 toons and have 3 real people join him.
He was running all 10 screens visible, but all mostly very small expect for 1 or 2. He had software running to send the same keystrokes to each window, and some macros to assist the lead toon.
Funny thing about where I live, the kind with the acrylic covers are illegal around here. In fact just about anything that would sit in between line of sight to that actual plate is illegal. You can get a "fix it" ticket in the winter for simply having too much road grime on it.
Right, like I said all sorts of ways to stress disks, memory, network cards, and CPUs in linux, but no good way to do GPUs. Maybe there is an openCL app that does.
hmm good idea... although the little 2.5" 250GB drive in here is 2 partitions already, a little/boot and a rest of the drive lvm one. Also that would then cost me a windows license....
There is Unigine Tropics/Heaven/etc demos, but my understanding is that they(games) don't stress the GPU like furmark. Maybe someone could write a openCL app that does.
(before you ask there is a server that serves up all the media on the network as well, and the 250GB drive was a cost thing on this build as the build came with new drives for the server)
my undervolted AMD 125W 1055T X6 already does 480P video at ~60FPS in H264 level 4.1 high profile using libx264 and the ffmpeg lossless_slower profile with dual (5.1 and downmixed 2.0) AAC audio tracks.
I don't have any 720P or 1080P source to try out. I guess i could grab a random youtube video to try out.
That is why i added copper heatsinks to the MOSFETs on my motherboard... Granted I'm running a 125W 1055T X6 in a 95W compatable motherboard. I under volt-ed the X6 down to the 95W 1055T levels and all has been good for the past 9 months many many chrome compiles, and libx264 encodes later. In fact those are about the only things that get the temps and the CPU fan speeds up.
are there linux equivalents for furmark and prime95? I'm mainly interested in furmark. I have all sorts of ways to test memory and cpu stability in linux.
good thing they changed the rules for next year, and gasses must exit at the back of the car in line with the trailing edge of the diffuser.
Good info though, I hardly saw anything on how they were keeping the cars from just catching fire, especially the renault with it's crazy forward pointed exhaust.
The point is that you will get your app delisted/banned; if apple adds something that does the same thing to a future version of iOS, a corp complains about it, it contains nude girls (unless you are playboy), wants to sell something without giving apple a piece, the reviewer doesn't like the name, it's an app from google(well this isn't really true, all that does is delay the process), it runs third party code dynamically.
Anyways, this is the issue. It wouldn't be much issue if you could side load, but without hacking the iPhone, no go.
Maybe i could support the Occupy people if I had some clue what they wanted. All they seem to want is for goverment to not be corrupt, rich people to pay taxes, and something else I think...
While I generally support all of those goals, I can't really get behind them without knowing how they would like it. Do they have any ideas on how to makes those or whatever goals happen?
I don't usually use GPLv3, but i do get where they are coming from. What good is source if you need an unreleased bit to compile it? also what good is the compiled source if it still needs to be signed to run on a device?
that is like saying: "here is the manual to the car, but in order to get the blind bolt off that allows you to change the tires you will need the special tool that we built for doing that and will only sell to licensed dealers that sign an NDA and prevent photos of it from being taken. Once you do take the bolt off only factory authorized tires will allow the car to start. This is a safety measure to prevent low quality tires from being installed."
So i do get why the GPLv3 is written the way it is. The point of the license is to ensure perpetually open and useful code.
I tend to be trying to use it from python or bash. Mplayer, ffmpeg, and mediainfo all work, but none seems to have a stable machine output option. Heck ffmpeg recently changed its position in the video during an encode from seconds to HH:MM:SS and broke a script I wrote that is using that to determine real world time left of an encode.
There are some fanless ATOM and Fusion based mini-itx broads around with PCI-E slots around as well. SPCR has some good tips for making things quiet as well.
One not all devices support all profiles and levels. For example my ps3 only does profile main or high level 4.1 or higher when in mp4 containers. My phone doesn't support high profile, it also doesn't always like my variable bit rate files, as it has a bit rate cap.
I wish manufacturers would better qualify which parts of the h264 spec they support.
or run software raid and skip the raid card, put the system in a back room/basement and who cares if all the drives spin up when I watch a movie?
As a note my current setup is just that, a 3 drive software raid 5 in a micro-atx case in the back room until the onboard nic died. I'm waiting on the replacement motherboard but at least with software raid if the sata controller dies it's a simple swap it out and move on with life as mdadm doesn't care which controller or port the drives are hooked to.
they could drive by install it, and set it as default since you are using IE, would that have been better?
All they are really saying is "hey we have a browser too, just in case you thought the only one was IE".

you are confusing iPhone running iOS, "Samsung Epic 4g" or "Tmobile MyTouch 4G" running android. Hardware and software are different.
Anyways, once you get past that you be all sorted out... I know exactly what i'm getting with i say "myTouch 4g" or when I say iPhone 4GS.

"check this box to only see apple approved apps in the app store. If not checked this will show every app submitted to the app store." Problem solved.

How about use a different root file system? I have a huge pile of options on linux.
Maybe write my own kernel module without buying more software from apple or run an unsigned module?
installing OSX on hardware of my choice, or sell hardware running OSX.
$1.0B on "licenses" to the content they are selling, and $175k on severs, bandwidth, and front-end development.

can you tell the difference between a hp and dell notebook while closed and no company logos are visible from 30 feet?
how about Asics and Nike's from 10 feet?
how about a Copeland and Danfoss scroll compressor?

I would recommend the fanless (or the fanned versions) Seasonic PSUs. Totally fanless, 92% efficient, low ripple output.

lets discuss h.264 and Profiles and Levels

can i stream blu-ray rips off that? how about to 2-3 clients at once?
We will just not even address trying to use it for /home or / on thin clients. for storing pictures and music for your single laptop sure...
