    You set the inside computer to be your router.

    They can then see what is going over the wires, but the could do that anyway, but they can't see what's on your outside computer's hard drive.

    They may be the 2nd largest ISP in the country, mainly by buying up everyone else - OneTel, AOL, Tiscali etc, but I don't think they are particularly good as an ISP.

    I spend about £250 per year on concert tickets. I wouldn't consider spending anything like that amount on CDs.

    The Autobahns in Germany mostly don't have speed limits, but there is a central barrier between the cars going in opposite directions.

    There are less deaths per passenger mile in cars than in airplanes, but you are not so likely to drive from Brazil to France, or even a similar distance up to the US or Canada. You use the car for much shorter journeys.

    I'm not sure what the statistics for deaths per journey are.

    No, because venture capitalists use their money to try to improve the business, and make a killing if it works out.

    Speculators just sit on the asset, and stop it from being put into productive use.

    That only worked because Micro Soft had been around for a lot longer than Mike Rowe Soft. In this case, the domain squatter has been around for longer.

    You can add "OS" as another column, then it will tell you it runs on Windows 2000 and XP.

    Try the same for Konqueror, and it tells you it runs on "No", whatever that is.

    Jack Straw is the Minister of Justice. That's a separate job from Home Secretary.

    Home Secretary is in charge of the police etc, Minister of Justice is in charge of the courts.

    They boot up the machine using a live CD image, which may not always work of course. So what they need is software for Macs, PCs and various types of computers with non-intel compatible CPUs, and support for all the different file systems out there.

    I guess if this thing can manage most of the computers they find, then anything obscure can still go to the forensics lab, which would now have a much faster turnaround time because of the smaller workload.

    But there comes a point when people consider breaking into the US market to be as important as breaking into the Zimbabwean market. The US makes up only 5% of the world's population, and if it continues down this road, it will make up a lot less than 5% of the world's wealth.
