    If you look at the list of requirements for a program to be Open Source,
    http://www.opensource.org/docs/osd
    No 6 says "6. No Discrimination Against Fields of Endeavor". Saying you can't use it on a production server doesn't appear to comply with that.

    Similarly, the Free Software definition
    http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-sw.html
    Freedom 0 says you should be allowed to run the program for any purpose.

    So yes, I would say OpenSolaris has been killed off and replaced with a demoware program.

    That's how it presents itself to the user, but it does this magic inside a Sparsebundle image file.

    Time machine had backed up a virus, so Sophos killed the entire Time machine backup image to get rid of it.

    No. But you must be able to change the code to remove those restrictions. They don't have to tell you how though, that's up to you to figure out.

    People in Europe quite often go to New York or Boston for shopping trips because things are cheaper there, and ink cartridges are exactly the sort of high value, low weight item they might bring home.

    If you want something with powder and some electronic circuits that looks "normal" to the airport security guy, then a toner cartridge is a perfect choice.

    They do profile passengers. Anyone with brown skin is liable to be refused entry, even if they are a hindu or a sikh who hate muslims.

    It is possible. Windows 2 was the first Windows I saw. I saw a computer with Windows 1 a bit later on.

    I'm pretty sure they are an electronic money issuer rather than a bank, which means you get less protection, and also means they aren't allowed to take so many risks with your money.

    You obviously didn't watch Newsnight on BBC 2 when Jeremy Paxman is on. Though he is pretty tame compared to most American presenters.

    I think the main problem though is big corporations vs small startups rather than business vs the people. We need the small startups to create the jobs that will get us out of the recession and I hope he realises that.

    It may have sold well in the USA but it was a complete flop in Europe and the Far East. Later releases have been much more popular.

    Same as with any other Citrix setup. It is not that unusual, and obviously you aren't going to use this machine for video editing.

    thetrainline.com app and the CrossCountryTrains apps are free and do exactly the same thing.
