Depending on temperature conditions the heat would build up in the box also, cutting the lifespan of the motor down. Since he has a pool to begin with I would assume he lives in a area with hot summer temperatures. Just my two cents(probably not even worth that).
I love his books. I think Small Gods would be great to see. If that made it to screen the religious community would go bonkers!(did I mention I like to instigate) Some of his book would make a great Anime feature too.
People will find other ways. File shareers did it... something tells me someone who is willing to kill themself for their cause will have no problem with an "illegal internet".
"...the black box insidiously hard-wired into your car's electronic guts, unstoppable, unalterable, and unbeknownst to most drivers, silently recording every dramatic move."
Sounds like somrthing M$ said about XP registration codes.
"We must stay on the path of education, enforcement, and offering great legal services."

'The iPod already works with the No. 1 music service in the world, and the iTunes Music Store works with the No. 1 digital-music player in the world. The No. 2s are so far behind already. Why would we want to work with No. 2?'"
Sounds like something Microsoft would say.
The company I work for uses those cards for many uses other than the usual. Employees have been fired because the were scaning the same coupon multiple times getting their total down to a few cents. This showed up on the computers and they got canned.
One reason I think the Fax machine is still around is because in most business an order or authorization recieved is not "official" or "credable" if recieved via email. However if sign an order and fax it in it is considered "official" and binding. just my two pennies, Good day
Its their patent is pointless because I am filing a patent for zero's and one's. When i get it ALL digital data will belong to me and you will all have to pay me Millions.... muhahahahahaha
Well one big difference is that Toshiba is the one who will be selling it eventualy. Since a private company is selling it they would be held responsable if it blows Alaska off the face of the earth. Before it was scientists and the government(who we know isn't responable for anything they do) who were pushing it(i think:D). Only time will tell though.
I hope its not a Catch and Release internet stream.
