They are trying to do the Google thing to the Email what they have done to Search. Internet Search has become synnonymous with Google. Perhaps way ahead, the Personal Interconnection through Emails and on Internet will have a Common Starting point- the Google thing with the services like Gmail and Orkut.

  3. Few Thoughts on Chatterbox Challenge Contest Underway · · Score: 2, Interesting

Where is Alanin the list? He is most Human like bot,I have ever talked with. The most interesting aspect is that he learns from the Conversation and does not need only a bot master to program. This is somewhat recursive right? You chat with Bot and Bot becomes intelligent with each conversation. Thats how it should go and thats how we may find a bot which actually knows many detailed facts because many people are taking with it and many persons are providing their Intelligence. In one of the previous posts, I saw someone mentioning Chatter Bots are illusions and nothing more that Data Processing.
Wait! Have a look around the Robotic Word itself. Are they all based on intutions and natural ways? NO! They are built using the detailed logic which every human follows and does not bother to look around with the Logic of his actions. Finer and logical ways of reasoning paves the way innards to AI.
Google is a good AI Software and not just data processing tool, because you get the result of what you are looking for ( in your mind) as the very first result. Chatbots, information processing will certainly help us improve the fineness data relationships and knowledge deductions.
Alice Vs ALAN here! And my own Phoe6 Here.
    Njoy Chatting.

  4. Ads in the Content of the Email ? on Google's Gmail To Offer 1GB E-mail Storage? · · Score: 1

The Real Joy of Mail comes when you are free from Advertisments in the content. These sometimes occupy 1/3rd of the Content of the mail and that really irritates the users. Had come across this Myrealbox from Novell. Highly customizable and Free Pop3 SMTP and No Ads in the Content Email service. (It is a testbed of Novell Netmail) and have really enjoyed using it. How is Google Going to use Advertisements in the Content of the Email ( mind not the Email Web Interface). This could really be a catch area to differentiate from the other Web Based Email Providers.

  5. Look out for Fritz Chip- The CryptoProcessor on Increasing Computer Security through Hardware? · · Score: 3, Interesting

Fritz is a secure cryptoprocessor that implements the trusted computing scheme on personal computers. It uses public key cryptography for the processes communicating amongst themselves. So it would always be helpful unless the security measure is broken by an exact match comprosimed Fritz Chip. ( Which would ofcourse need some quantum computing cycles). So we can assume that it cannot be compromized till date. M$ has plans to incorporate Fritz Chip in the next OS,Longhorn.

Sony's QRIO is yet another Human friendly Robo and heard that this performed a Orchestra. as well.
Now there has always been a Robot Hall of Fame at CMU.

Nature deals with breakdowns in a complex system with evolution, and a very important part of evolution is the extinction of particular species. It's a sort of backtracking mechanism that corrects an evolutionary mistake. The Internet is an ecology, so if you build a species on it that is vulnerable to a certain pathogen, it can very well undergo extinction. By the way, the species that go extinct tend to have limited genetic diversity. -Atrributed to Bill Joy - Had preserved in my Blog Dan Greer's writings bear the same too.
