    That article is fucking stupid, I'm suprised there were no comparisons to the NAZI's. Obviously there should be no regulation of radio spectrum, it's not like all hell would break loose and the entire method of communication would become useless or anything.

    I didn't say you would never feel it, you just won't feel it untill it starts doing real damage, while acid you will feel before it does as much. and when i said eat through skin I was referring to the NaOH crystals i worked with, which, while absorbing water from the air were such a powerful base that, if spilled on a benc and wiped up with a sponge the sponge was severely pitted.

    Yes, increasing the size increases temperature, all the lens does is take the solar energy striking Area[lens] and put it on Area[focal_point]. What you describe would be really fucking badass, especially if you could direct it by running it through another lense to make the light rayx come out approximately (within a few hundredths of a degree) parralel, you would have a very destructive light weapon which could be directed by (very high quality) mirrors (low quality mirrors would absorb too much energy and be destroyed) In fact your collector would get (in an area getting average solar exposure) about 54 million Watts (72,000 HP)

    aside from that, the more mail your users have stored the easier it is to compress the data because each new piece is statistically more likely to be mathematically similar to existing data. you can bet the size limit refers to plaintext size of the file, not whatever compression they use to store it all.

    RFID tags only cost a few cents and will surely get cheaper. Personally I like the idea of stuff in stores getting cheaper as a result of reduced theft (I work in a supermarket, they are VERY competitive, trust me any reduction in overhead theft would be passed on to customers in order to gain an edge over competitors)

    when i referred to polotics and buisness, I was talking about the reasons we are not using Nuclear and hydroelectric almost exclusively. Breeder reactors can process radioactive waste down to more usable fuel and other products, the problem is that these reactors also produce weapons grade materials, so doing so requires high security. Really the way I see it, we should have a massive nuclear power complex somewhere in the interiour of the country distributing electricity out to everyone else, put it in the middle of nowhere so it can have as many Fences and a no-fly zone around it enfirced with AA missiles and F/A 18's

    not with current regulations, even if the design was tecnically sound and safe, it would be missing Govt mandated features A-F and woud be fought by major automakers because it would harm profits, sadly the country is becoming a corporate profit machine, anything that hurts the big corp's gets banned.
