    Actually I used to have a little Clock app that sat as a translucent window that the mouse clicked "through". I got rid of it because it had issues with games (it stayed on top and translucent)

    so you would like to click a link and have it's contents execute immediately? the fact that IE will download and execute a file automatically is a problem, the solution is downloading the file and running it after a virus scan.

    It won't run an executable without saving it, too dangerous, if you want to specify where it downloads go to Tools>Options>Dowwnloads, under Downloads Folder either set "Ask me where to save every file" or point "save all files to..." to your desktop

    How is learning Morse Code an absurd hoop to jump through? It was the standard for communication for a long time, Unless you know a bwetter means to communicate with simple eqipment, a flashlight or laser pointer will let you signal for distress or send a warning much farther than yelling, while being easier to do when injured.I plan on learning it this summer to get a HAM license.

    well DD/MM/YYYY date format sucks worse than MM/DD/YYYY. Eventually I hope to see a switch to ISO standard dates YYYY/MM/DD which can be text sorted properly and are not ambiguous (is 01/02/2004 January second or february first, who wrote the date, do they use American or european style, who was their intended audience, while 2004/02/01 is clearly february first)
