    Now I suppose if you had some nice admin tool GUI that allows you to point and click to select a set of actions to perform on each machine or group of machines you could achieve the same thing but I have yet to see it.

    that is the whole point, IMO. with GUI administration if the designer didn't think of something as needing to be done, you can't do it. with a CLI you assemble your tools into a machine and save it as a script.

    If you want freedom to load apps as you please look at blackberry OS. There is the official app market "app world" but the blackberry browser fully supports download and install from a website, which presumably would easilly allow purchasable apps outside the store with no extra software on the phone, just an http login to access a download link and maybe a tagged exe that will let them know if you pirate

    neither side has clean hands, but it is fact not opinion that Israel kills far more Palestinians than Palestinians kill Israelis, mostly around a ratio of 7-10:1, some years dropping to "only" a bit over 2:1

    stock value is what stockholders want to see, typically the way to increase stock value is to grow, or to attract attention in other ways.


    the problem is that stock value is typically determined not by the current and expected future dividends and expected stability of the company, but rather pricing is based on expectation of future pricing.

    that is to say, stock value is dependant on itself, nothing more than a chaotic feedback loop most of the time.

    given this nature, it's odd that insider trading is illegal, since people trading on insider info are the only traders who aren't out of their fucking mind to put their money into such a system.

    I use two of them, along with a half-broken dilapidated laptop, all running linux, the E701 for lightweight computing and banking at home (I won't trust my money to a windows machine no matter how good my virus record is) the E900 for running my OBD-II diagnostic software (chosen for bigger screen and faster CPU, but lower system ram and incompatibility with the 701's memory upgrade kalong with the lower quality hidden speakers and lack of a camera kept it from being adopted in place of the 701. The 901 makes an excellent diagnostic machine

    that is only one layer of fitness, next order is prevalence of a trait in a community improving aggregate survival even if the individuals are at a disadvantage, as long as the disadvantage isn't too bad OR the trait is a recessive trait or at least a more complex trait than a simple dominant trait it can increase it's own prevalence by strengthening and growing communities. example of this would be familial altruism,

    that is true to a point, but flailing uncontrollably into provably wrong territory is rarely helpful, especially when it is as wrong as thinking that earth is mostly carbon

    he expects applicants to be smart enough to research their prospective employers and trim their resume's appropriately, just drop the references to .NET from your resume, there is no law that says you have to list everything on a resume, and generally you shouldn't except on your master copy that gets trimmed before submitting based on the position you are applying for. cover your last 2-5 years of employers, and a "best of" from anything older than that. Bring a full employment history with you to the interview.

    for skills include anything relevant to the job and anything that might be an "extra" such as knowledge of one or more foreign languages or hardware experience

    iirc the HBGary emails did include references to very large astroturfing campaigns and with the Citizens United decision stuff like that can be carried out even more secretively. I have seen it elsewhere like on Fark.com, "new" or even fairly long ago registered but rarely/never posting suddenly being very vocal and very coherent with other similarly activated accounts.

    they may or may not be stumbling, but .08 is pretty damned impaired, and i say this as someone who likes to drink, look up your weight on the BAC chart from the DMV and drink to .08, you won't feel "just fine" unless you are an alcoholic and need to be drunk to feel "fine"
