Well by "flying" I mean actually flying, IE your in a big giant dome on the moon that has an atmosphere inside of it and you put on wings and fly by flapping your arms and gliding.
mmmm I would love to live on Mars 40 years from now =)
Personally I think the coolest thing is that if you built large domes with atmospheres similiar to our earths, you could possibly put on a pair of wings and just fly like a bird on the moon or mars =) Would be amazing imo. Especially on Mars with a clear dome.
Ohh I will, ive only been in one roadblock so far, but the next one I see, I am going to refuse to give them anything they want... Make them take me to court, those bastards.
Except US arms embargos wouldnt allow that to happen. You do know that a missile with a capsule designed to send humans back and forth into space can also easily carry WMDs right?
Which is why the dark part of me WISHES for a war with China, in SPACE!!
Of course its just a foolish thought, but wouldnt it be awesome, I mean after all the death and destruction, just think of all the new technological advancements that would come! Heck, even a Cold War would be good. Very few die, and we still get the good tech!!!
Also AFAIK T/space never submitted a proposal for the CEV, they have been talking with NASA about the CXV instead =)
NASA is planning on spending around 400-500million over the next 4 years for cargo transportation capabilities for the ISS... Guess how much the t/space guys need to build their whole system? Thats right, 400million.
Although Boeing-Northrop-Lockheed are the big boys right now, I dont see why one of thsoe teams wouldnt be capable of choosing t/space for crew-space transfer =) Then again Boeing-Northrop probablly wouldnt since Northrop is only involved in spiral 1, but Lockheed might.
Also, Griffin has made it quite clear that he wouldnt probablly fund t/space, BUT if they do get a vehicle built and it is cheap, he will gladly use it for crew and cargo transfers to the ISS.
Whats the big deal about NEEDING to uninstall those apps? I have windows media player, IE, and windows messenger installed on my PC, do I ever use them? No. I use iTunes for music and VLC for video, firefox for the web, and trillian for instant messaging. Would I uninstall WMP If I had the choice? Probablly not, there are some sites online that use wmv, and imo wmv is the superior codec for websites(quicktime doesnt let you maximize videos and real just sucks imo) Not to mention, sometimes there are sites that I just need IE for.
Is the 50mb really killing you or something? Just delete all the icons and never use them, you have a choice yah know?
1) Try out ubuntu, ive been running it for the past week and installing apps is pretty easy, of course its not windows/mac easy yet, but its still pretty good.
2) Sure you can, go to CompUSA you can find plenty of linux distros there in boxes. Heck I bought my first linux distro(Mandrake 7.0) at a Staples
3) as far as a good program for music, rhyhtm box is awesome, it's a lot like iTunes. And for media, well on windows and OS X I tend to use VLC the most, VLC Is also on linux =)
4) Heh the command line, under OS X I rarely ever use it =) Under ubuntu I tend to use it quite a bit.
The fact that it doesn't require a human passenger makes it inherently safe.
How so? Vehicles that carry humans aboard have to be human rated. Ie they have to be designed with much stricter tolerances, much more paperwork, higher quality, and so on. Not to mention the Russian Kliper is most likely going to be launched on top of a Zenit rocket anyways. The fact that it doesn't require a human passenger just means that no one is going to die unless the rocket explodes on the pad or crashes into someone's house.
You don't like the one I gave you, then tell me why it isn't acceptable (other than the fact that it hasn't flown as long). I didn't say it wasn't acceptable, but like I did say, the Zenit 3S-L has only flown about 12 times, the Zenit-2 less then two dozens flights where it HAS blown up at least once. Not to mention, the Zenit only carries about 10tons into orbit, while the Space Shuttle Stack carries well over 130tons into orbit!(30 or so tons of payload)
You should also not forget that Columbia didn't blow up during launch, it failed during re-entry. Only Challenger was lost during launch and that could have easily been avioded if they decided to wait until it had gotten warmer(Although they did make the shuttle stack more reliable after that event)

omg, the thoughts of demolition man style sex make me wanan find whoever is doing this research and SHOOT THEM NOW BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!!
No, I'm just being stupid =(
Don't forget, Anakin was the chosen one.
lol, your confusing the moons and mars here buddy.

lol I don't think the insurgents are attacking US soil...
wow, awesome point that I haven't seen brought up yet...
Not to mention Microsoft can still sell MS software on the OS X PCs.
or just open the file directly with winrar or winzip bypassing the self extracting EXE all together.
They already do in some of their server lines.
Hell is freezing over for the fourth time!!
I don't think anyone is going to be getting a freighter or container ship into US ports during a time of war buddy.
Except US arms embargos wouldnt allow that to happen. You do know that a missile with a capsule designed to send humans back and forth into space can also easily carry WMDs right?
ehh, doctor who sucks... The jokes are corny, and the stories are corny too.
Nor do I =)

Also, I personally would definetly invest in this company if such an opportunity arose =)

how about the fact that the developer kits run on a Pentium 4? which umm is x86?

umm, better physics and AI for games is what I can think of off the thop of my head =)

wtf?
Yeah the Zenit-3SL sea launch currently uses is pretty cool, but umm its only been flying since 1999, the shuttle has been flying since the 80s.
