I suspect that his tactic (perhaps more than most because his output is so volumnous) is to make any hairbrained predication that will get attention (360 posts in this thread and counting). There is only upside for him: nobody counts the number of times he's wrong, they are far too numerous. And on the occasion he is right (a la Mac Intel), he can crow about it.
Odd that none of the videos on the site show transitions. The shot of the car driving into the water fades into a full speed shot, and the video of the car driving out never shows it with panels down...
Hmm...I've found it very fast (on IE, Mozilla, Firefox). I also love the interface. I've posted a review here. On the negative side, spam filtering still has a way to go. I get about 50% of spams (that get past spam assassin on my primary mail server, which redirects them to gmail).
Whether they developed it or not, it took significant time and resources for them to integrate the product. Clearly they've been trying to integrate it for some time now, and haven't because their testing indicated performance problems. That type of testing and integration is costly.
Fortunately, there is a better chance that these former high politicos have IBM stock....I doubt their portfolio managers would go far recommending SCO.
