    AXIL: Axil Solaris Sever
    PORTMASTER: Livingston Port Master

Well now that just ended in a bloddy....err uh I don't want to talk about it!!!

Second, we didn't think the names in the context of the network, See "MOE is there leader"in the stooges, but in this setting he was nothing more than a buggy SQL server, all MOE did was do a couple, like 2 or less DB trans an /HOUR/ and it couldn't even do that without crashing every 60 days or so.. hardly a leader!

SHEMP was an slower computer (Pent 75, 48 megs ram) and didn't a ton more work than the "Leader" and people would come in and say "HEH MOE! THE FEARLESS LEADER"

"MOMMY why is that computer not moving?!?!"

So that didn't work out at all....

This means if they didn't include the source, you must email/write/phone/fax/etc them and request the source code, they then must provide the source by ftp/http/email/letter/fax/etc.

Not including source is not against the GPL, not fullfilling request made for the source, is breaking the GPL.

I buy binary only Linux cds all the time. If I want/need the source, %99.9 of the time it can be obtain by (ftp||www).DISTRO_NAME.(COM||ORG||NET)

Checks this distro's ftp/web site that looks like they broke the GPL, it should be there, if not email them asking for it, if they don't fullfill your request (in one way or another), then it is time to put the smack down on the punks...

Remember if you request source by fax and they post it to there web page, that is STILL legal, just because they don't fullfill your request they way you see fit, doesn't mean they are breaking the GPL... What if Red Hat, had to mail complete source of all the GPL programs in there distro by airborn mail, printing 1 Million + lines of code shiped via next day air, it would put them out of business. Transmeta, can't go public, what do you think would happen if they said they where the force behind the NWO? (No not wrestling, New World Order, -George Bush!)

This does to things, transmeta can keep a another little "Hilter" event from happening again (thank you M$ for the first one), and second provide cloak for Linus to work.

The first one was explain early (remeber the NWO stuff, what you got bad memory man) the second one is this:

Linus is God, but he is also human.

He needs food, water, sleep, this is a fact, I can prove it! For Linus to do this, he need money, to get money he needs a job.

Linux is a full time project for Linus, so he to surive on the planet and develop linux for the furture of man kind, he needs a job doing kernel hacking on Linux, that pays decent money.

Do you think RedHat would hire him? Hell ya, do you think SuSe would, hell ya, they (distro people) all would.

What would this lead to, it wouldn't be redhat Linux anymore it would be REDHAT linux, it wouldn't be suse Linux, it would be SUSE linux.

The user base would split, Linux wouldn't have the support to grow into a world wide concept of sharing, and that little "Hilter" thing, that would rear it's ugly head..

Transmeta was founded by all the linux distro out there, redhat or slackware didn't hire Linuz, they all did, and that is the real deal.

  21. Concept on Robotic Butler available for $800 · · Score: 1

I have had this idea for a long time, but haven't had enough college class to develop it yet. Here it is:

A small robot the size of a cig pack or less, build it will solar panels on it's back, a backup power system that can be recharged by the solar panels and a 'light' detecter on it's back.

Program the 'logic' so, if there is light detected, it doesn't move. If there is NOT any light, it moves in a somewhat random direct towards N. Where n is a random number between 1-4, where 1 is North or up, 2 is south or down, etc, etc.

This would 'somewhat' mimic mothernature. If it was hungary 'ie no light' it would move till it found food 'ie light' and it will stay till the food left.

If there was light it would sit there and rechange it's backup battery, when it couldn't find light, say after sunset, it would roam the earth on it's backpack, till morning when at that time it would sunbath.

Kinda cool concept, I figured out how to do everything, accept for getting enough engry off the solar panels to recharge the battery, which is important or it 'dies' every nightfall. Hey it has ABOUT the same life span at this point as one of those mai flies.

After this is implentmented one could, program 'memory' into it. If light comes though this window between 7-5 it could remeber the time by DUH a internal clock or sportswatch on it's wrist.

The tricky part would be the location, it could be determined by the number of spaces it has to take from a 'home base', but this has it's flaws, what if a dog came and started chewing on it, and left it 100 feet from where it 'thinks' it is supose to be.

They could be programed with global tracking devices, these would work. But satelite prices are kinda high, and launching them into space, ha forget about that, NASA screws everyone on space launches, charging millions of dollars :(

Do those palm pilots have GPA in them, maybe there is a way to disassmeble those ;)

Just build this robot at of the shell of a palm pilot, not only does it find it's own engry source, you can also send it email. :)
