"the majority of Atlassian's business comes from meeting the needs of behind-the-firewall, proprietary code repositories"
Eh. Most products developed inhouse are hosted like that. No problem with that. Not every business want to do the "cloud-thing", but that could be illegal now?
And code repositories, most businesses uses svn, git or cvs, all of them are open source from what I know.
Has the cloud-hype been so successfull that people think that FOSS must be something in the cloud now?
"If I got a car that failed to start 5 mornings of the year, I'd be pretty pissed off. If I got a TV that wasn't compatible with channel three or seven, I'd be rather annoyed. If my car's doors unlocked randomly on the third Tuesday of the month, I'd be frustrated. If I got a VCR that couldn't timer record at 58 minutes after the hour, I'd be pretty pissed off too!"
Well,i have heard about cars breaking down. and they do that alot to!
And it costs a fortune to fix. And often, its because of automakers calculated risks of failure and choice between components that make them break down.
The best feature of iPhoto and iTunes is that they integrate completely with the rest of iLife from Apple. Without this integration there wouldnt be any thing special about neither of them.
As long as the new Lindows apps doesnt integrate together, they wont last because other standalone applications exists that are better at what they do.

Of course, i cant recall this.

it would be very stupid to rely on 13 year old kids, especially when the common gamer is nearly 30 years old.
