Sure it does. Evolution evaluates an organisms fitness in what turns out to be a binary function, "can you live long enough to reproduce?". This is equivalent, if somewhat abstracted to "if (fitness > minimumFitness)".
Judging by the fact you have an 8mb/s connection, I assume you have ADSL rather than cable. I can happily download at 20mb/s and still have a reasonable ping time (I have some QOS on my router to help aswell).
Actually, it isn't a closed Microsoft thing. I think it's a really good idea, and it also works with OpenID (i.e. I can log into my OpenID provider with a InfoCard).
The flight controls in X3 at least, where like flying through a thick atmosphere. I personally like Babylon 5: I Found Her, It plays exactly how you'd expect a Starfury to.
While I like Firefox 3, I find it annoying that I have to accept a self-signed certificate forever. I'd much prefer to accept it from my current session only. Accepting it forever seems a little insecure to me.
Also it should be noted that you don't have to use passwords to authenticate with your provider. MyOpenID supports certificate based authentication, and have just started offering CallVarifID(TM), which will phone you when you sign in.
I have to say my new Asus P5K-E/WIFI-AP has a brilliant BIOS flashing feature. Copy the new BIOS to a USB flash drive, reboot, press a key combination and flash the BIOS directly off the flash drive.
I have the 20Mbit/s package and I can get it up to 20Mbit/s most of the time, although I need to use the DownThemAll Firefox plugin todo it. (opening up 5+ seperate connections to the same server really does seem to help.)
I've had this work for me a few times on Windows XP for some modems and sound cards. I have to say when it does work, it's quite good, it's just a shame it could work more often.

Nope, I had already looked at 2 lasers previously.

I saw an interesting interview with Michio Kaku here, and he talks about just this.
Looks like someone doesn't know how to write for Data :).

I wish I still had my mod points.

IIRC, Data has used Picard's credentials, and he was impersonating his voice, so that would support your theory.

Interestingly enough (If I understand correctly) there isn't enough pixels on the screen to do a 30-bit gradient with 1-bit per pixel.
...beta
And lets not forget Cliff Click's previous job, working for Sun on the Hotspot VM.

The heatsink and fan are on the northbridge, not the CPU. The CPU is the tiny heatsink at the front.

58/100 with Firefox 3 beta 3.
$3/gallon, I wish. Try buying some petrol in the UK, then you can complain about the price. It's $7.66/gallon (£1.04/litre) here.
