You do not suggest a theory and claim the inability to of an ecperiment or observation to falsify it as verifying it. Support and verify are completely separate things when you indirectly test a concept by indirect measurments which all experiments on the big bang absent a time machine are.
This is entirely dangerous. Eich made his donation in private, he never walked arround proclaiming he held some belief. A law that was passed after the fact exposed this cpntribution long after it had been made and there was no way of changing it.
But now you have a number of employees on record as being intolorant to someone's former political posistions. This can now harm thier potential future employment opertunities. I would not have any empathy for them either, it would be like karma carryong a baseball bat and swinging withh all its might.
As the parent poster pointed out, it is benefits from government and companies too. All other parts can be accomplished through contrscts other than marriage. It isn't until you get into the spousal and family benefits through employment benifitd or tax and social security benifits that marriage becomes unique in contracts
If recent history is any indecation, yes it certainllly can.
It appears that people have calmed down, thought about it a bit, and are having buyers remorse over the ousting of someone who politically apposed the gay agenda so we have this story toughting how right they were because something that didn't happen concievable could have happened. So without any evidence we all prrtend it was going to happen making some feel better about the wrong they just participated in.
When a browser sends the message "you are free as long as you don't disagree with me" its time to move to a different browser. Its just like microsoft.
Shh.. you will bust his bublble and make him snap. You all know how dangerous a critical thimker can be when he finds out he is wrong. He will use his mentsl powers to give you migrain headackes from acrosd the county.
Its a chicken and egg question. Which came first.net4 or the need for it.
The answer to that likely could save the money but it rests on developers and maybe replacing spme of them.
But on the other hand, this can be avoided by requiring cross platform development or functionality for all software government uses unless it can be demonstrated to be impractical. I say that not only with linux in mind but apple and ever newer versions of windows that seem to break compatability to some things in older versions.
In the hospitaliy inndustry, some of the better application suits run in a browser session hosted off site by the company who sold it.
Not that it negates anything you mentioned. I just wanted to point you into that direction. I had a site with over 300 rentals at 4 locations surrounding state and federal parks spanning about 5 miles at each. Switching apps for the management of those to one of the web base ones was the smartest thing we did. It was a pain at first and we ran the old system along side the new for a little over a year because we couldn't migrate the data, but after ghe initial OMG everyghing looks different was over, it actually worked better.
I cannot give names. But you sbould look outside in house apps if you have any pull at all.
It is sll the next trap. Linux fistros EOL their versions too. Some times its a lot quicker then 8 or 12 years. And whatever the lifespan of a version is today, it can change on a whim next month. I have seen it happen first hand.
Even the open sorce web browser thst claim you are free but turns out to be only as long as you agree with them politically has dtopped support for OS versions on a whim with little notice forcing the same.
At least with MS, you have a fixed time line that you csn realistically expect to hold. And if it does end up changing, history shows up it gets extended which work with you instead of against you
Are there actual laws against that? I thought those were just common law which would be constitutional and that laws only limited the judgements on it.
The constitution doesn't appoint anyone as the authority to determine the constitutionality of anything. The supreme court assumed the role when forced to intervein between a president and congress.
I don't think you understand exactly what is at stake here. Currently, if you own a website, you are not responsible for the posts of your users as long as they are their posts and you take action when notified of something illegal. If i post i sm going tk kill the pres, something that is illegal to just say, you are not liable. If i post pics of my ex in the show performing sex acts with the guy she cheated with, you are not liable. That is the case whether i secretly taped the act or if one of them did and i ended up with it somehow.
With this change, it appears that you would end up liable for my posts, not only if i posted it to your website, but even if you don't own a website and hit reply sll forwarding a link to the post in an email i sent you.
The revenge porn is only muddling this as it is separate issue as to weather or not s third party can be held accountable for someone else actions- legal or illegal. A model release form wouldn't come into play on this ehen its a third party post.
I'm not concerned with the oversl cost of electricity when the cost of a lightbulb is or two is ten percent of the weekly gross pay for a low wage/ minimum wage worker.
But i guess those selfish people don't matter in your ideal world. In the rest of reality, 15 or 20 bucks at once is a hell of a lot more than 3 bucks for 4 bulbs.
As apposed to someone that does exactly as they are told because of reasons someone else says is important.
You may not like the fact that others are free and capable of doing something contrary to you, but when you end up being told what to do and don't like it, you will enjoy the fact that you are free too. That is unless you gave up that freedom which i suspect you may have done.
The reserve parachute makes skydiving reasonably safe too. But it would be proposterous to think others would feel the same way and everyone would endorse it.
Different people are different. What you accept doesn't have to be what they accept. In a free world, this should be the norm and we need to understand that. I personally do not want those internet of things because i don't want my appliances sending information to anyone at all. The NSA already listens in on our phone sex. They don't need to know that i eat crackers in bed or how often i wash my socks.
I know, over the projected lifetime it costs less. Some of us don't see the value in instalment loans though. I'll gladly pay more over 15 years if it means less out of pocket all at once.
I think you misunderstand why its patriotic. It has nothing to do with oil or gas but being told to do something verses being free to do what you want. Its the reason your buddy got the truck you say he doesn't need. Because he can and when people say he can't, he went and showed them this is still a free country.
Now...... i'm not apposed to small cars, alternative powered vehicles or anything of the sorts when it makes sense and is my decision. But i'm a lot like your buddy. If someone tells me i can't, i will. If you think this is a free country still, then do whatever you want also. Even if that is not what i want. Just don't expect everyone else to do the same because you or someone else says so.
You see, in 50 years or a century from now there will be so much change that you likely wouldn't even recognize the home you live in now. This will happen with or without global warming. Oil eill become replaced by some breakthrough energy source that is codt effective. People living in areas will move to others and maybe even back again. Anything you can do noe may be all for nothing if the world changes between now and then.
It's not that we don't care, it's that we think over time, it will be easier dealing with it and likely cost a lot lessor. So there is no need to make people's lives hard now, there is no need to impose totalitarian government controls, it will either run its course and we will deal with it when it happens of it will not happen and the world will still be a very different place.
If the government were to spend money on AGW, it should spend it looking for efficient and cost effective energy sources thst are cleaner than we now have and ways toget what we hae to be cleaner.
You can say thay achievement got a little greater recently. I was listening to glenn beck and he was raving about yhe tesla and how it would likely be his next car.
Most of the conservatives see the EV cars as inferior but i guess the tesla fits in another catagory now.
Jobs do grow on trees though. The longest i have been unintentionally unemployed was 2 weeks. I have yhe same recession you have to deal with except any number of my old employers would give me an excelent reference. Thats the thing, when you work hard and reach your limits at a company, they or a high level management will be happy to give you a reference even if they don't want you to leave. You hust have to approach them in a way that doesn't appear to be blaming them or the company outside of you outgrowing the job.
Besides, even if you are not a good employee, comming from an existing job give you an enourmous advantage. Even over good employees that have been out of work for a while. It is simply easier to find a job when you already have one. Already having a job also givess you the ability to pick the best job you can get.
And no, you can get raises at nost non union jobs and most non contract jobs quite easily. It doesn't rely on piece work either. It can rely on the value you create for the company.
I suspect you are the type who puts little effot into ut outside showing up and not getting fired. Perhaps you aee the type who when they get laid off, collects the unempliyment compensation until it stops comming in. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with that, you just need to understand irs mostly in your hands.
Interestingly, in Ohio they have flashing yellow lights that will warn you if a green light is about to turn red on some highways. They have had to disably some and change the wording from "prepare to stop when flashing" to "caution intersection ahead" specifically because some were speeding up to beat the light change and causing accidents.
Same concept and i bet that happens when your car says "light about to turn red".
I have made $14 an hour before rolling buritos fresh out of school. This was back in fhe 90s shortly after minimum wage went to $5.35 an hour. I was originally highed in at $5.00 an hour which was about 30 cents higher than the then minimum wage. You don't need to be promoted out of your job posistion, just get fair raises based on the extra work you do.
Of course that requires you to not have your salary locked by contract.
It used to be that people tried to better themselves. You did your best and either recieved raises or a promotion, or moved to a better paying job. In you teacher scenario, you were rewarded with more knowlege which is what you were actually paid in while going to school.
Lol.. that is so wrong it isn't funny.

You mean like Obama or the Clintons?
Bill Clinton went even further and signed the defense of marriage act into law.
Oh.. i guess the USA isn't a company. They certainly do not run it like one.
As the parent poster pointed out, it is benefits from government and companies too. All other parts can be accomplished through contrscts other than marriage. Umm. Yes, some of them do. That is why you sometimes need booster shots.
That's so cute. But nothing hss verified the big bang. Plenty of experiments support it though.
I guess they should include getting dvience right for the wrong reasons as psudoscience too. Or maybe this is already covered by overstating claims?
Shh.. you will bust his bublble and make him snap. You all know how dangerous a critical thimker can be when he finds out he is wrong. He will use his mentsl powers to give you migrain headackes from acrosd the county.

Please tell us who.

No, it means i'm cheap and don't want to spend 10% of my weekly gross pay at minum wage just to have a dimmable lamp.
You can say that makes those people short sighted but i say it makes them practicle.
Tl;dr
