If your goal is to reduce emissions and the over all process is equal to or greater than the previous process even though a specific portion of the process appears to be less, then you have not reduced emissions, you have only stored and used energy differently with possible added costs.

The importance of looking at the entire process is because the goal is not necessarily just using less gas, it is emitting less Co2 and other greenhouse gasses. A less complicated way of looking at it might be cutting down trees and burning them in place of coal claiming you are saving GHG emissions from coal use by lowing the amount of coal being burnt. now imaging you didn't cut down trees but had to mine them.

The reason I ask is because using like calculations, the spread would be greater and therefore the 40% would be more if they are not already adjusted..

The police has arrested people and prosecuted to a conviction based solely on circumstantial evidence. That is to say, not actual proof you committed a crime, but you were near where it was committed and could have done it, and we think you would have benefited from it happening. But you don't really need to make gun power. There are some air rifles that rival real firearms. Even of they do not match them identically, they are still powerful enough to get the job done.

I wouldn't say I was over my head but when I tried to root my phone on more then one occasion, it didn't work. The biggest problem is that the forum posts are not organized with what is current in most cases and you find out after reading post 205 that the particular how to or way to root had been fubar'd by a provider update.

My real problems with this happened when the service provider pushed an update that broke the phone and I had to get it unstuck from a slash screen. It took roughly 2 days to find what would actually work by digging into the forums and weeding through all the garbage.

So I'm just saying, I think the large problem is forum organization- service providers pushing updates- and perhaps frustrated users. All of which can make any particular user appear to be a troll, or in over their head. But from providing tech support in a linux channel through IRC years ago, I do know a lot of people will try all kinds of weird shit to talk someone into fixing their problem for them and there are a lot of people who will do anything to avoid reading and learning about something..

(*note, I've been to numerous forums and they all suffer the disorganization issues which may be unavoidable when things change so rapidly.).

When mobile phones were introduced, it wasn't just a way to connect people instead of running telephone lines. They were convenience items that allowed you to be connected in more places. The charges were for the air time associated with the devices not necessarily the calls being placed as it was already implicit with the air time. The old radio phones (pre cell technology) started this off.

Charging for incoming calls is really a relic from charging for the convenience. It makes no sense when the phones are used instead of laying or maintaining copper wires to provide phone service or even when the technology mimics traditional pots technology. But the first companies in the market where the same companies who did the radio phones so it was transferred over because it seemed like a working model.

The replies I received were less then respectful and the mods are hilarious considering.

I don't really go around doing pipe shots in town. Although you will hear the exhaust. Most my cruising is actually on back roads away from towns but I have to pass through them for the shear fact that roads actually go places. I love being on the back roads where you can really crack into it and feel the power or let off and soak in the scenery. I also don't drive the loud vehicles if I know I'm going to be out after dark.

As for the movies, I do not go to the movies except for the drive in and that's about once every 2 or 3 years when some movies just peaks my interest. But I know what you are saying. I mean I go to the grocery store and put up with the kid throwing a tantrum because his mom won't let him get the cereal he wants, I put up with the clown at the gas station who for some reason takes has to crank his stereo while pumping gas even though he's scared someone will steal something so he locks the car up and all you can hear is the bass rumble and all the lose panels on the piece of junk jingling because of it. There is enough inconsideration to go around. Just today I pulled into a fast food joint to make a call on my cell phone and some kids pulled in blaring their stereos causing me to roll my windows up to finish the call. They are free and if I'm in a public space, I have to accept that there are other people in the world who do things that might annoy or inconvenience me. It's not a big deal as far as I'm concerned.
