  1. Privacy Implications on Northwest Gives Personal Data to NASA · · Score: 5, Insightful

So what will you when every toll road you travel on by car passes your travel details automatically to law enforcement based on your license plate? Or when one day every intersection has a camera collecting this kind of information? Or when there's a camera doing face recognition on every street corner, evaluating whether you are a terrorist or not? Will you just stay at home all day? I think a more proactive stance is needed here. Getting the general public to understand the privacy implications of these systems so they stop voting for people that put them in place is probably a lot more effective.

  2. It's all about the company on Tech Support - To Phone or Not To Phone? · · Score: 1

I think it is all about the company. If it is a large sized company, where youll spend more time listening to Elevator music waiting to talk to some half wit reading out of a book, then you are wasting your time on the phone. But I have always preffered phone, something about talking to the person real time is better in my opinion. Who knows, to each his own.

  3. No amount of... on More Jail Time For Computer Crime Starting Next Month · · Score: 1

threatening/ warnings will put a halt to the overweight 30 year olds (or the growing number of uber 31337 13 year olds) of the world who want to take their anger out on something. Just like addicts if they need something bad enough they will get/do it. Kazaa users still continue to download songs, people just seem to think they are anonymous when they do things on the web. Go Figure.. ::unchecks post anonymously::
