i am running 2.4.14, been running 2.4 on a debian box since 2.4.1, runs great, in fact i have had no problems that weren't my fault since then, sure i'm runing unstable but that doesn't mean the packages are going to crash or anything, it means things are still going to change, nothing has been frozen
not necessarily, remember the inverse square law, jupiter may have a lot of mass but the "surface" is a long way from the center of mass so the gravity that you would feel is not anywhere near what you could feel if you had a jupiter mass the size of the earth. I don't have a link to this but i read once that a person who is in good shape would be able to work under the gravity that they would feel at jupiter's surface.
you do realize i could copy what you said verbatum replacing universe with God...
personally i go for a combination of the two, but i can't prove my belief to you any more than you can prove yours to me
1. there is a differance between communism and socialism, nader is far more socialist than communist
2. there have been no true communist states as marx described them (that i can think of)
3. communist china is still around
no there are restrictions on fair use saying what it can be used for for instance education, plus you aren't supposed to copy the full thing, just parts
if you can code what does it matter if it is paper or a text editor? with the paper tests they test the ideas and concepts and if you have some minor syntax mistakes it really doesn't hurt your grade... at least that is what it is like where i am
my roommate did this, why he knew aol, his email was through aol and he travels all over the country b/c of family issues what other service can he access anywhere in the nation including his dorm room?
dickens is not in my opinion a good writer, good stories but horribly written. tale of two cities was painful to read, well thats what you get when you pay an author by the word, horrible drawn out discriptions that do nothing for the story
c'mon are you that blind to the possible benifits of a system that you don't like? my roommate uses AOL for a very good reason, he travels alot b/c to help with his family buisness and school. AOL has local access numbers everywhere he goes, so he only needs that one account that he can use almost anywhere.
what happens when you burn hydrogen H20... what do hydrogen fuel cells react the hydrogen with, oxygen, so once again you get water, the thing is instead of putting in water, you put in hydrogen... the hydrogen is generally seperated from the water elsewhere

Laptop Exams?

· Score: 1
you forget that college students generally don't have the money lying around to by a laptop, yeah its a small percentage of the cost of tuition but many people are barely making tution with loans and grants. take my roommate, he can only afford to be here b/c of grants, loans and scholorships, none of these appy to buying a computer.
the school provides labs, he uses one of my computers, so he doesn't have a problem, if schools want to have open computer tests then level the playing field, use a lab, don't require the people to bring their own
btw what student can afford wireless net access, hell i have 3 computers (including a laptop) and i don't have a wireless modem, let alone service for it
i have a friend who talked to someone who works at NTS who said they monitored Napsters port was using more like 50% of the bandwidth so they had a choice, ban Napster or bandwidth limit the dorms, i agree with their decision, i can get mp3s elsewhere,
easy to fix that problem, i wanted a song from one of my enhanced cds on my computer but couldn't find the tracks until i accidently loaded windows cd player and suddenly they appeared, this has worked on 2 different computers so i d/n think its a fluke
minor problem with your statement, many christians, including me, see no conflict between the two ideas, in fact the catholic church declared evolution a non-overlaping magistrate (i think thats right) back in darwin's day, in otherwords they didn't believe that they conflicted, instead they just explained different aspects of the same thing.
c'mon scheme is fun... o wait i still have nightmares about it... while working on our final project we pulled some late hours and when we actually slepted we dreamed in scheme, talk about scary
i know a few including myself who are working on it. i have a laptop that boots linux and win98 and i try to use linux whenever possible so i can learn my way around it and as soon as i can save up enough i'm going to build a box just for linux, i can't make the full switch yet as i need my 'puter to do things for school and sometimes i just don't have time to stumble around an os that is new to me to do something i can do in 2 seconds under win98
sorry any nuke coming at us won't be able to be shot down in time, remember the discussion awhile ago about the ABM treaty, no NMD (nuclear missle defence) for the us, even if we did the testing is like less then 1/7 and that was with nukes with a know tradjectory (sp?). feel real safe eh? shouldn't matter, the us and russia share (norad's i think) nuclear missle detection system.

how do you get on ebay if without a computer... what about if you don't have an address, can't afford the electricity or to pay for an isp...
also remember $100 is like a month's worth of food for me, i take eating over a computer any day...
i do that for my firewall... i'm not waiting for the kernel to compile on p-90 when i have a k6-3 400 sitting accross all of 5 feet away
