  1. Re:iTunes on A Workable Downloadable Movies Business Model? · · Score: 1

IF and it's a big IF, you assume your CD provides you with 650 mB of "data" and a movie fits on a standard DVD of 4700 mB. At 99 cents for the CD the DVD works out to $7.16. If they allow me to own the movie then the $8.00 price isn't too bad. I just remember the old days when the world was flat and the only music downloads were illegal. We dreamed about being able to buy an album or a single song on line. Apple provided that service and at 99 cents/song, it was a good deal. However, many people ranted and raved about how expensive it still was and continued to steal the material. I bet that even at $5.00/movie with full ownership, some people would still steal. Maybe they should move out of their parents' house and try living in the REAL world. I have to go, my Mom needs to use the computer.

I like the pictures of the robotics team. I didn't see anything that stated the students' parents had agreed to have pictures of their children posted on the internet. So school officials and teachers can post pictures of students on the web, but the students can't? Right. Sorry, but Does this mean the school's pedophiles don't want competition from their on-line counter parts?

In other news, a man ,Homeland Security believes to be a Chechen rebel, was seen wandering the streets of nearby towns looking for nuclear wessels. Is it a coincidence he has shown up just as transparent aluminum has become a reality? He was accompanied by a dark skinned woman of possible Somalian origin. They are just people of interest at this point.

Don't you understand their revenues are down! Only digital pirates armed with cameras are going to the movies! They aren't making any money! However, 12 films grossed over $100,000,000, 5 of those broke $200,000,000, and one grossed over $300,000,000. You know what "they" say. A hundred million here and a hundred million there and pretty soon you're talking about REAL money. Numbers are from http://www.the-numbers.com/movies/records/100milli on.html.

Promise them some of the money and ............. Oh, wait. Maybe this doesn't works in Germany, but the 419 scam has raised $5 billion so far http://home.rica.net/alphae/419coal/ . I live in Poland, Maine and fog and lightningn seem to be the only thing that bothers it. Since, I unplug everything during a lightning storm any way, it really isn't a problem. Strange though, the Internet signal holds up better than the TV signal in inclimate weather. I went with this system because Adelphia went broke and the local mini-Tel was years away from providing DSL. Yeah, you can't play twitch-based games on-line, but if you need that MOVE TO A CITY!
