  1. Frustration on Oblivion's Missing Physics Acceleration · · Score: 1

I could live without the physics engine that people are talking about if my game would just run smoothly! I purchased the game for my 360 and everything ran fine...until I updated my firmware and now the game locks up like every 5 minutes for about a minute and it really kills the gameplay for me. I haven't tried another game yet to see if it is my 360 or just obilivion that is having the problem but it has become so difficult to play! But when it does lock up, my entire 360 stops responding to me.

To a lot of people it does make a difference. Both Sony and Microsoft use DVD's as their media format. They already have all the physical equipment built into the system which are capable of doing so much more then just playing games. Why not add them, because all that it needs is some software. This could possibly give them a little more of an edge over the other side. Also, just because they have DVD and MP3 playing etc, doesnt mean that you need to use them. You can still use your componets for that...And because they didnt need to add any new hardware to add those features, its physically not making a different to the unit that is sitting next to your TV. Just pretend that they are not even there!

Your comparing apples to oranges in that statement. The 40gig ipod is a Hard drive based player so you cant compare that to the flash base media that the PSP is using. If you want to compare it, use the IPOD shuffle at least. Also there is some rumors going around that there may possibly be a hard drive coming out for the PSP which would give a lot more room for a cheaper price. But how that would connect to the PSP and alter the weight and looks I dont know.

I am sorry but trying to measure out the value for how many years the item was out is not really a good way to think about it. The thing to look at his how much time did you enjoy on each console. If your PS2 sat in the corner while you were playing your Xbox all the time, then the Xbox was a better value and vice versa the other way around. But then again, when I buy a console I am not exactly looking for a "Value". I am looking for what I am going to enjoy more.

Bullshit? Tell that to Nvidia's CEO, for him being the single most important person in that company to talk about this topic, he's not quite sure it's doable, RTFA, not even ATI or MS are really sure about it. I dont want to sound like an asshole but..I have rarely found a CEO know anything technical about his company. He just reads whats good for their PR and nothing else. Right now I work for a very large Phone/Internet company and after you go up about half the level of the chain of command...peoples technical skills begin to drop off. The CEO job is to make sure money keeps flowing and the company is in good standing...not to know whats technical about the company.
