What do you mean? That's the fundamental basis of the Green party. All other issues are tacked on after the fact. The 'Green' in Green Party stands for environmentalist wacko, as Rush Limbaugh used to joke, back when it was still funny.
Truck turns over, you scoop up the radioactive material, with all the dirt it touched (if you're paranoid) and put it on two trucks and haul it to yucca mountain. In 10 years, a very large part of the radioactivity has dissipated. Ask the residents of Hiroshima about the scary radiation. Pripyet is habitable today. I'd go there.
Shit on every street! Longer commutes! Rapid climate change through increased greenhouse gases, stopping the wind, the tides, and blackening the sky ! Starvation and disease!
Doesn't sound like such a campaign slogan, does it?
Fissionable H2O? I don't think so. Radioactivity isn't contageous. And even if it were, you couldn't stack a bunch of extra Neutrons into water (or Hydrogen or Oxygen) molecules and expect them to stick.
Sorry, but Africa is hell. They just don't have good soil, good climate, or good land. And to top it all off they've got bad blights, plagues, diseases, germs, bugs, and wildlife. You can't just put white people there and expect them to grow corn like Iowa. Although, the white people seem do grow stuff better in Africa, it's mostly about education, and like you said, government and infrastructure.
Start with yourself then. Don't compromise my property and freedom first, and coyly suggest you'll give yours up next, hoping you won't have to. No-one is stopping you from supporting the lazy and feeding the sick. But I should have a say in what you want to do with my money. Because, if for no other reason, than you think that your lazy friend is more deserving of my money than my sick mother is.
What is wrong with voting for who you want to win? Notice the candidate's fanatical insistance (he mentioned it at least three times for every question) on run-off elections. So that he can vote for Kerry and himself so that Kerry will win. And now you too. Why not vote for the candidate you actually want to win?
Thank you for admitting that you're racist and misanthropic. Why do you want babies, and especially black babies, killed? Why do you wish to subvert the opportunity of all other babies that make it past a certain age (what will be the final child-euthanasia cutoff age?) to have a family?
They didn't even bother to check cameras. And any counterfitter who robs america of more than $200 is going to be using a litho-engraved photo duplicate. That's what the colors a supposed to stop. Banks have been able to check duplicates with simple money counters for at least 20 years.
The "Black Market" that requires cash is a way small factor. Cash represents less than 10% of existing money, and I'll bet even most "Black Market" transactions use a significant percentage of credit. While it may not say "VISA/Mastercard accepted here", your typical villian has other alternative systems.
It was a nice guesture, but it still doesn't make us feel any better. Our money (among other things) has always been cooler than Canada's, and just meeting that mark doesn't really do anything for us. Measured against our own greenbacks, the new money is a marked decline in coolness and practicality. In fact, despite the medievalization of our country, I still think we could incorporate much better security without even visibly changing the old money.
Here's the recipe for coffee:
Water and brown coloring. Put some sugar or something in there to hide the taste of the brown. It's just there for coloring, the lousy taste is an afteraffect that we didn't get rid of because it turned out to be addictive.
which XUL?
That's the rub. And the whole point of webapps is the standard client with the HTML layout. I've written XUL apps and shipped mozilla with them, but I end up using just a couple widgets on top of HTML. Expand the HTML widget set!
Two things:
1) Server side communication is here to stay. You can't take the internet away.
2) HTML is the best format for design and display. It really is. You get a better design most of the time. It's alot more flexible than forms, and alot quicker, and alot easier to customize. 99% of this is due to , , and tags. If you ask an HTML designer, he'll cry about css and absolute or relative positioning but he's wrong. What widgets HTML lacks should be added, not bastardized in 10 of 299 XUL/XAML languages. DHTML can simulate trees, pickers, etc. passably, but leaving them out is a much better option most of the time in favor of a free networked client with HTML table positioning, images, and links.
That's all fine and dandy when you're running the webserver as Administrator and logged in as Administrator and using the browser on the same box.
Your remote users won't get command prompts unless they find an exploit in the webserver.
There are just tons and tons of libraries in Java that don't exist or are not cheap in C++.
Stay away from Java frameworks though. They're all bad. Not uniformly bad, but very few offer more functionality than roll your own + use the OS, stupid.
Java is easier for us dumb programmers though. Except I've been thinking of switching back to C++, just because it takes so long to type anthing in java (try a loop...iterator...enumerator...cast... collection...arrays of keys...pooling...hey how come my objects aren't getting garbage collected?) sure makes you miss simple destructors. If only C++ had the libraries AND DOCS that I needed. Oh, and because C++ is so much harder to do right for us (speaking only for the royal myself) I need someone else to write the framework that I could have written myself in Java.
C# is a little bit better than Java. At least it's less typing. And supposedly IKVM or J# will let me use all the Java libraries.
maybe you should start. It is quite likely that whichever page has programming support questions and answers will probably have the word "programming" somwhere on the page.
this article is just a spam press release sent by iTKO.
Welfare exists for those who can't live off of $1 million. I'd be set to retire in 2 years if I had a tenth as much now. And I'd keep getting richer.
So Americans who aren't looking for work write CVs? How odd!

Sorry, I meant to say UNSTOPPABLE mindless man-eating robot monsters.

Okay, you're worried about a crop that *might* not be able to reproduce itself from seed, but lets go ahead with man-eating mindless robot monsters?

Maybe I should just go back to PHP.
10 years ago Microsoft was touting Windows 3.11 for Workgroups. Put that in your perspective and puff on it.
Could this be George Lucas's acknowledgement that the Star Wars series could not possibly become any more rediculous.
I'm still waiting for Star Wars to come out on DVD. Does anyone know when the movie (not Lucas's botched remake) is coming out?
