Just it's brain, then armor plate it:P but I like the other idea's to distributed computer like the borg or have like 20 small CPU's throughout the robot.
"This reaffirms advice that states that when the robot uprising finally comes, you should always aim your rocket launcher at the head (or brain nexus)."
what makes you think that the "brain" would be in the head there is little to no protection there plus that's where everyone will think of hitting it... no I say hide the brain near the butt, it's at the back so this will do 2 things 1. anyone in front of the robot will not hit it and 2. anyone behind it will leave it alone unless he's a perfect shot... also put some extra armour plating back there...
I'd also recommend and addition backup pair of "eyes" near the wheels behind some transparent aluminum:D
technology isn't making us grow up too fast, it's how we are using it that is making it grow fast, the spin on technology if you will, it's just like saying is technology evil, well of course not. take guns for example, they are dangerous, they are used in wars and people kill using them but they are also used in hunting and self-defense. I remember back in the day when Super Mario bros. 1 was the big thing, and you know what if the gaming industry made safe friendly games like that they wouldn't grow up so quickly but another problem facing this issue is human social interaction for instance say an 8 year old kid see's his older brother playing Doom 3 he might want to play it simply because that what the big kids play.
It's silly to make a vague statement like technology is making us grow up too quickly the real problem is we haven't invested enough time into understanding human limits and how to progress technologically without pushing those limits.
I understand your theory but it's wrong, here's why first of all if they keep making faulty products that burst into flames your not likely to say "gee it served me so well I think I'll get another" you'll look for something that lasts also in computers everything is constantly improving so your motivation for buying a new drive isn't just "it broke I need a new one" it'll more likely be "I need to upgrade".
humanity is doomed look at humanity today we are dying off I heard that this is the first generation to have a lower life expectancy then previous generations due to the obesity, humanity fights wars people lie and cheat thier way to the top with attitudes like that humanity can't survive and now that you are seeing new deseases being created like west nile, bird flu, SARS, and mad cow. let's not forget the massive weather changes occuring look at katrina last year or the tsumani the year b4. and with counties like the US and north korea with nuclear weapons threatening each other we have no hope.
I've played lots of gaming platforms and I have to say that, I perfer the original Nintendo controller it was very simple to use, almost an extension of my body while I as playing very little thought had to be done reguarding what buttons to push, also it had alot of control.
nowadays you have 1 joy stick that control the camera view and another that control the direction your character is heading, then you have and about 8 - 12 more button for more control but you have to consentrate more on what button you pushing...
a big differant from the day is arrow keys, start select, and those great A and B buttons
I installed linux on my compter as my only OS for a month and during that month I met and talked to lots of people who were part of the open source ommunity people helped me get my sound card working 1 guy showed me some fun things to do with the commandline, I have a passion for open source because even if there is a monopoly in the software world for this or that open source can still compete.
I've seen some open source programs out there then the commercial alternatives as well, after talking to developers, and people who work with and use this stuff, and even go that extra step of helping new users I think says there is a community, Linux User groups are a form of community people sharing idea's and supporting each other in linux. Am I wrong?

you can use http://johnhaller.com/jh/useful_stuff/portable_ope noffice/ to implement the portablity, and the price of USB drives are fairly cheap, at a cost of $90 for 1 GB not bad...
correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Nintendo also from Japan?
you know you're having a bad day when...
kill the brain cells that made innocent looking malicous code :P
