I work in a library. $20 is a small fine... many users end up with over $50, and I've seen hundreds owing (it's not that hard.. lose 4 hardcovers and that's nearly $200 right there). I would only think this would work if the deposit was much higher.. but of course then no one would use it.
True.
But posting the photos along with her contact information? Pretending to me her and sending men to her workplace? That's the real problem, and that's a LOT worse than just posting some phoeos. In fact it would be just as bad without the photos at all. Yahoo should have removed the profile immediately not just because of the pictures, but because of the risk to her safety.
First of all, having nude pictures of yourself is not stupid if you are aware of the consequences.;)
Also, I think there was a reason above and beyond the photos for her to sue Yahoo. The profiles were causing her to get calls and visitors at her workplace. Her ex could have accomplished this with or without the photos
I'm not usually hungry early either. I usually have something small like half a cup of oatmeal with a small spoon of flax and a little fruit. If I don't feel like all that, I have the oatmeal and save the fruit for a snack before lunch. The important thing is just to get anything in you soon after you wake.
That's a good point.
Though I wouldn't blame a technology challenged old lady, for example, for not looking into the risks well enough.
Perhaps there should be a mandatory little quiz to take before registering to do online banking, or at the very least an agreement about the risks to read and awknowledge.

Same here, I lost 50 lbs in a few months going from vegetarian to vegan. In my case, it was not a wonderful thing.. I was 135lbs, and went down to 85lbs, making me a little underweight for my 5'1" height.. (I'm a chick, by the way)
So my advice to anyone switching to vegan, for whatever reason, is to eat *a lot*. You'll deffinitly still lose weight, but it won't get out of hand. Now, I eat like an animal and am pretty comfortably at 100lbs.
I agree, tall people get a certain amount of respect just by their commanding physical presence. It's more likely they'll get noticed, and therefore listened to, and therefore have more opportunities for advancement.
But, luckily for the shorts, there are a ton of other meaningless-to-ability traits that can equal things out. Being attractive, outspoken, friendly.. and especially, being *confident*.
Here's to hoping I excel in some of those other areas, since my 5'0" stature isn't doing much for me.;)
