Also - what's so wrong with getting a kid to focus on something difficult and master it? In this age of ADD, I wonder if the loss of practicing these skills has repercussions we don't fully understand. I think it belongs in a class of classic skills that develop (as a minimum) the ability to focus and hand-eye co-ordination.
Yes - but that's ugly looking! I want hardware in my house that a) works right b) looks good. That's why up until now I have used a logitech 3 button mouse on my mac. It worked great but looks like crap. This apple mouse will look good in any configuration. I was not trying to suggest that the innovation is being able to reconfigure a mouse button.

I can't believe the nay-sayers here - the benefits are obvious - they can ship a single product that satifies 1 button 2 button and n button people! I keep hearing about how handsfree is as bad as regular mobile phone - sounds crazy to me. If this so, then a driver talking to the passengers should be just as dangerous. So no talking in the car, and definitely no eating.
