Whilst the eastern market may not be massive, it is reasonably significant.
With the japanese market comes the japanese developers - if your console isn't popular in japan the these developers are less likely to produce games on it. You are only going to get lazy ports at best.
MS needs developers like Square producing games for the XBox if it is to really challenge Sony.
And, more importantly, if we didn't have so many viruses & trojans then it would be more likely that systems wouldn't be patched and vulnerabilities wouldn't be fixed - leading to the occasionaly virus causing much more damage (eg Chernonbal virus in Far East at the end of the 90's).
Then the co-worker mustn't have know who the call was from, so the guy must have phoned up, said stupid bomb statement and then one of them must have hung up.
And anyhow, what's he doing letting a child play GTA3?

Shock as Microsoft doesn't show games that aren't ready or aren't marketed at the western audience!
I think the biggest problem is the XBox's lack of RAM compared to the arcade version, but they think they've got that sussed.
