I am still amazed that after 20 years of the desktop PC, we still have to press the key labelled [F1] to get any type of GUI help, rather than having a key labelled [HELP], although Microsoft did find a way of squeezing in a key with the Windows logo.
On my keyboard the F1 key has the word 'Help' on it, below the 'F1'. If yours doesn't and you really want it to, may I suggest a pen?
That's odd. I looked at the GPL myself and paragraph C in section 3 is this:
* c) Accompany it with the information you received as to the offer to distribute corresponding source code. (This alternative is allowed only for noncommercial distribution and only if you received the program in object code or executable form with such an offer, in accord with Subsection b above.)
What's really bad about this flaw in the moderation system is this: Suppose you're moded up twice as funny. This does not improve your karma. You are then moded down once. This does affect your karma. The result is that, even though your left with a higher moderation score than you started with, your karma is now lower. So, mods, do us all (and our karma) a favor and mod us underrated, not funny.
It's a tool, like a hammer. You don't have to take classes to use a hammer
No, it's not like a hammer. A much better analogy is a car, and guess what, you do take classes to use a car. It's called Driver's Ed. Anyone under 18 is required to take it before they can get a license (at least in my state, might be different elsewhere).
First there was BCPL. Then B was based on it. Then C was based on B. Until C++ came along, there was some discussion of whether the next language would be called D or P. Perhaps that's where it comes from?
There are now four BSDs, yet there is only one Linux. Is there something about BSD that makes it fork-prone, or something about Linux that makes it fork-resistant?
I'm not critisizing either one. I'm just curious, any thoughts?
Great, this is just what we need...
:)
more little non-sharing learned Senator Hatches running around with British accents.
Gives new meaning to "batten down the hatches".
You forgot something:
Liftoff: free
Trip to lunar orbit: free
Return to Earth: free
Re-entry: free
Deployment of parachutes: $100 million
Getting home in one piece: Priceless

Naming convention in C++: Constants in ALL CAPS
Not to mention AUTOCONF MACROS.
Triple Click...
Quad Click...
Qunice Click...
Are still available!!
Not quite...
"Still another function can be launched if the application button is pressed multiple times within a short period of time..."
Run for it, gotta get the trippelclick patent before microsoft gets it!
Seems like, rather than patenting double clicking, they patented double, triple, quadruple, etc clicking, all in one move. Damn clever bastards...
"Still another function can be launched if the application button is pressed multiple times within a short period of time..."
Anyone interested in the original HIV genome (it's like sourcecode) can find it here. [nih.gov]
Seeing as it's more or less unintelligible, isn't it more like machine code? Now, if only we had a decompiler for it...
Does adding a little note saying "we covered this a few weeks ago" always get the editors off the hook for posting the same article twice? ;)
.sigs, just to be safe.
If it does maybe they should put it in their
But I assume someone will come along and tell me that IDEs are for the weak as well.
Beware the IDEs of March!

Which is different than what you posted...

Does SCO, by any chance, have offices in Japan?
So... Does it run Linux?
Acceleration = positive CHANGE in speed
Actually a negative change in speed would also count as acceleration.

What do you think they should be doing instead? Reading and posting on /. like you? Yes, that's a much better use of their time...
I can't wait for KGplayer, twice the features, double the resource usage!
I think you mean: "Twice the features, quadruple the resource usage."
Don't feel too bad, Linux users are left out to. Maybe it'll run under wine?
After this most places look good.
