I'm really, really, really sorry to hear this! I dislike Yahoo and their practices. I will be removing my bookmarks. They had a great product and service. I'm sorry they've been eaten up by the giants.
It's a heck of a lot easier to get an old 4' radio dish (example) and cover it with a reflective mylar. It works GREAT! No fine-tuning mirrors - this is MUCH less work.
I did this with kids at a small science museum - they loved it. We boiled water and lit cardbord on fire.
So let's say they fix it with server-side DRMing (which does seem like the most secure method)... where does that leave ALL their customers? Everyone would have to upgrade their iTunes immidiately. Now wouldn't that make for some unhappy customers!
Well, not much meat in the trailer, but it's worth it just to see how it's all done! Wow! Fascinating to see the sets and the little clay figures. It really makes me appreciate the movie that much more.
Yeah. The trailer on the official website is just glitz - no real content. You have to watch the one on Amazon or the one hosted at vt.edu. See above posts.
It looks like they're taking a LOT of creative liberties with the script. Too many perhaps?
For instance... in the preview, they show Ford introducing Arthur to Zaphod. In the book, the whole comedy of the scene is that they both play it cool. Not so in the preview.
It is my fear that Hollywood is going to ruin another perfectly good book. I'd like to go see it, but I'm going to be very sceptical.
Google automatically starts out ahead in the game: The percentage of people out there that have favorable thoughts associated with the name "Google" is higher (probably on the order of a few magnitude) than those who think positive thoughts of "Microsoft".
Simply because I strongly dislike Microsoft (and thus everything associated with them), I will continue to use Google.
Microsoft would have to seriously surpass Google in order for me to switch, and I suspect the same goes for many others.
Is anyone else worried that Google is trying to take over the world? I'm not saying that a world run by Google would be a bad thing... I'm just concerned that they're going to outgrow themselves too quickly. They are very good at what they do right now (web searches, web mail). Will they continue to be the best at everything they do, or will they start stubling?
I'd hate for the existing services to start falling behind in their quest for a hand in every market.
My point is that you're thumbing your nose at the government ("nah-nah-nah-nah look-what-I'm-doing"). Do you really want to run the risk of getting hauled off to some secret detention center for a few days of questioning without your lawyer?
Yes, it's not currently illegal in the same sense of yelling "bomb", but our current administration isn't exactly playing by the rules.
From personal experience, I can say this product is SWEET! However! It it very susceptible to static shocks. (Standing up from my chair to move the antenna generated enough static charge to cause the RadioShark to stop receiving. A few times of this actually caused the RadioShark to stop working all together and it had to be sent back.)
Large portions? No. Percentage wise, it's a very small bit of Earth's land area that was hit. And in all likely hood, it's just going to be some coast lines that were changed. No major mountain ranges are going to be swept away!
Is this change big enough to update the atomic clocks?
I think this quake really puts things into perspective - the Earth (and "24 hours in a day") isn't as set in stone as people think it is. (Pun intended?) And who knew the poles could move?

This should really be a requirement. There are some ISPs out there who will block you if your reverse DNS is not correct.
RTFM. They bought KeyHole, which supplies the images. So yes, they do own them.

am I missing the correct trailer?

Just my $0.02. Take it or leave it.

Isn't that like telling the airport security guard "I have a bomb in my suitcase", just to see what would happen? Is it really worth it?
