    No?

Then you are stupid for being suspicious of strange boxes showing up at your door.

Let's just chalk this one up as another geek analogy bites the dust.

How are the musicians getting paid? Are they doing this project on spec? For $5,000 they'd have to be. That amount barely gets you recording time and a so-so engineer.

GP has it right. Projects with any momentum take at least 10K units sold to come close to breaking even.

Is it not the same for you?

I'm not defending, or apologizing for this guy. I'm just saying that you seem to be making a very big deal about something that, for most of us, isn't taking more than a minute a day to deal with.

By your sentencing formula, shouldn't hackers, virus writers and script kiddies be getting a lot more time than they are now? I mean, how many productivity hours are lost every year due to a virus?

Apple "controlling" their hardware market is unfortunately limiting your choices for no good reason.

Unless, by "no good reason" you mean not having any problems with drivers or updates.

If windows has all the apps a user requires, spending extra money on a Mac (or, indeed, installing Linux) is essentially pointless.

You then disprove this in the very next sentence:

The only true benefit non-windows systems have to most users is the lack of spyware

Also, you sound like a person who hasn't actually used OSX. As countless posters have pointed out in many many threads, the experience is different, and to many, different in a better way than Windows or Linux.

The fee is only $1.00 at my library. Can keep for a week. But the selection if small, very small. Tried both Netflix and BlockBuster online services: the turn-around time is bad for both, worse for BB.

Now I use the BB in-store service, 2 at a time for $20/month. New movies come out on Tuesdays, and you've got to be there early, otherwise they're gone.

I think Netflix's days are numbered, unless they start offering other services. BB will eventually work out their shipping woes. Also, they plan on integrating their brick and mortars with their online service, so you can get movies by mail, return them to a store, and visa versa.

The movie rental business has never been better, for me as a customer.

If I was that friend, you could expect a punch in the face.

I would like you enough, that I would take it upon myself to teach you a lesson: that friends don't snitch on their friends.

Snitching is what your enemy does to you. Don't worry, though. I'm not your enemy. I'm your friend, and I'm only hitting you a couple of times. Just to make the lesson stick. If I wasn't such a good friend, then I'd be your enemy, and your beating would be much more severe.

I can only assume that you don't have any brothers or sisters, and that you've never had a serious friendship. Acting like a five year old couldn't be helping this.

Do do deny that fork-tongued Imams exist and that they are a problem?

Dr. Cole seems to think there are, and that they are a problem. He writes, using a hardware(terrorist)/software(bad ideology) metaphor:
The Imam says, a person who was really committed could change everything. He could save the Muslim Ummma from destruction.

The software is fatally one-sided. It also exaggerates. The Muslim world is not in danger of being destroyed, least of all by the United States, a warm friend of most Muslim countries.
I don't know how many of this type of Imam exist. But I do know that in American main stream media, all effort is made by Christian clergy to challenge any doctrinal approval of violence by extremists, and to distance themselves from those who espouse such approval.

I don't and can't know how many of these radical Imams exist. MEMRI is only a tool that has helped expose them. Of course MEMRI is selective, and of course they are biased. That doesn't necessarily invalidate their translations. Can you point to any instance of mis-translation?

I don't see the primacy as knowing the numbers, but rather what's being done by Islamists to keep Islamism pure of violent extremists.
