Why is Suzuran's comment "Funny."
I thought the comment was not meant to be funny and it is something I would strongly subscribe to. Prison rape should not be an expected consequence of sentencing. I don't believe that any judge and jury has sentenced anyone to repeated rapes. Or prison murders, for that matter.
Prisons should be safe places of incarceration. I know that's not easy to achieve, but we need to reiterate what we expect. Throwing in the towel is cowardly.
Note, the material concerned is Aluminium IRON oxide. Big difference. Aluminium oxide is a good dielectric and would be bugger all use for RF shielding. Oh and the article is a wierd too: it talks about 100GHz shielding where WiFi bands are ~ 2.5GHz.
Thank you for the iron clarification. You see, my wall are encrusted with sapphires, which we all know is crystallized aluminum oxide, and my wi-fi has been leaking like crazy, so I knew there was something fishy in the title.
As others have, I think, pointed out, the dead cannot hear apologies; but we, the living, can. The government's apology is a signal for today and the future.
The four shows at the Hayden in NY since February, 2000 have been:
Passport to the Universe,
The Search for Life,
Cosmic Collisions, and
Journey to the Stars.
Also, the fifth floor is not open to the public; you probably mean the fourth floor which has all the fossil displays.
