    Sorry, but cellphone cameras will always remain the special olympics of photography. If your goal is just to take pictures, a cell phone is probably enough. If your goal is to take great pictures, you really should own a dedicated camera because what is provided in the phone industry is garbage by comparison.

    Essentially this means to get the one program you'll want to watch you'll have to buy a bunch you'll never watch. When are they going to learn that many of us are not paying for cable specifically because of the model used to extort us for more money than the programming is worth to us?

    While you're off at work making sure you can feed everyone and continue with those house payments, who is making sure your kid isn't goofing off? Most kids don't have the discipline for homeschooling, especially when they're in a place where there's always something more interesting to do than the school work in front of them.

    You also wind up depriving your child of the ability to develop necessary social skills and "street smarts" which only come from being exposed to the unwashed masses. Don't assume that just because you failed at aspects of it that they will too. You need to allow them a chance to stand on their own two feet if you expect them to walk, let alone run.

    The ipad is overpriced, which was easy to get away with when there was no competition. Now that there's competition, apple continues to fail in the pricing game. Android will continue to eat Apple's lunch until they wake up and realize that trying to maintain this luxury image will kill them.

    Except in this era of increasing server-side reliance, game piracy is becoming less of an issue. It will eventually get to the point where you're not actually buying the game, you're buying an account with which you can then play the game. Since the majority of people don't think twice about needing to be always connected this trend will only continue.

    This is not teleporting, any more than getting a hard copy of your word document out of the laser printer is teleporting. Teleportation of physical objects implies that something is deconstructed on one end, and then reconstructed in the same state as when it left using the same matter.

    Yes, I have a razer mamba which I use regularly. I can use it in both a wired and wireless mode and it works great. Orientation is not hard to manage, and it comes with a charge stand which doubles as a receiver or you can plug a USB cable directly in to it.

    The pros are obvious. You're not dragging a cable, which means you're not stressing a cable. Which means one less thing it break, and more fluid mouse operation.

    I've been using mice for 20 years, I've broken several through wear and tear. Yes, expensive mice as well as the cheap ones. They all die eventually. Just because it hasn't happened to you does not mean it doesn't happen.

    Star Trek Continues is surprisingly good, IF and only IF you happen to like the old-school filming and storytelling style employed by the original Star Trek. It's an amazingly faithful recreation which deserves a lot of props for hitting the mark so carefully.

    Yeah, you DO need a special camera, because most cheap cameras can't handle low-light conditions very well. It also has to have a resolution high enough that people are easily identified in the footage.

  25. What a stupid idea. Let's have cameras record what happens after, and none of the events leading up to the usage of the weapon. I think the latter is far, far more important.

    A cop's entire day should be recorded, not just when he decides to use force.
