    of course, since this is Philips, the lights are rather expensive. There are cheaper brands with less quality. The intensity decreases much faster and there's paler colors.

    I'm in no way connected to this store but these are the newest LED-bulbs from Philips: just one shop: modern.nl. I do have some connections with Philips so I can keep up with development.

    Yep, I have those in my home for this price (E10.00). Got them at the local shopping mall... Perhaps the presence of Philips in the Netherlands makes them cheaper over here?

    I don't know about the USA, but if LED-lights cost about $100,00 over there I'm going to set up an export-company. They're like E 10,00 in the Netherlands. Of course, with the current exchange-rates that could well be $500,00 tomorrow.

    ASML in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, holds about 80% of the market and has been manufacturing 45 um wafersteppers for some time already news article 2005. Intel is one of their customers, so actually Veldhoven is the birthplace of the 45nm processors... At the moment they are down to 32 nm already...

    That's why thunderbird (which Sun is putting recources in) is modular through extensions. Those who want thunderbird to be just a mail client with no extra's, they can have to base install. If you want htings like calendaring, you have addons for this.

    There's webdav for calendaring, there's tons of caldav-servers, mail-servers, you have sogo (http://sogo.opengroupware.org/), communigate etc etc. If you look around instead of taking the one's you know, you'll learn a whole new world...

    There's a lot of servers which lightning can connect to but (afaik) not exchange for now, due to the closed protocol MS has put on exchange. But several caldav-servers, communigate, webdav-servers, google, file-system, ftp etc etc do work.

    Lightning does do invites which arrive by email. As for the screen, and contacts with events, these are solved with 0.7rc1 which has been out for a few weeks already. Recurrence-problems? Not by my knowledge, which bug?

    It's obvious you didn't digg any further then a first glance or you would have known there's tons of plugins among which is Lightning, a full-fledged calendar for lighnting. Lately it's been evolving rapidly with version 0.7 coming out pretty soon. Actually I think it's better then outlook, I rather use lightning then outlook.

    Sun (among others) has been offering recourses to put into tunderbird and sunbird/lightning for some time now. Lightning is maturing very fast and already a lot of offices can use Thunderbird and Lightning as an alternative to outlook. With the co-operatioon with the rest of openoffice, it's a MS-killer for sure.

    This was modded funny? It common practice to do that for musicians who just start with a band. This way, if someone copies their song and it becomes a hit without them paying for it (or puts it on a commercial cd without them knowing) they always have proof. In the music-industry in the Netherlands this is enough for a judge.

    Yep, kids will be kids, been there, done that, enriched my life with experiences and grew over it.... Of course you're in the exact position to see the worst of everything and believe me, this will never change. Every year there will be new loads of students which will do the exact same thing... It's part of growing up. But this doesn't justify the one-strike policy, neither does it justify the ridiculous fines the RIAA throws at them. One strike policy for internet access is absurd, how are they supposed to study without access nowadays???

    Sunbird 0.5 / lightning 0.5 also support caldav-servers (have been for quite some time now)...

    Der Spiegel, a German newspaper, had an article in March where the phenomenon CCD might have to do with GMO's:

    European Currency has a rfid in it afaik, just put a banknote in the microwave and after a few seconds a little point fires up. My guess is these are rfid's...

    Indeed you might have failed but of course this isn't the same as your daughter being labeled as a sex-offender for the rest of her live. Perhaps you didn't teach her the dangers of doing something like sending a photo but should she be punished for something which is innocent in it's nature...

    Of course it's a judge's job to uphold the law. But it's also a judge's job to judge wether a specific law is used for the purpose it was written for. Judges are no machines, the have to consider each case individually. In this case a judge should rule that, though on paper the law states one thing, it's not meant for the case described and he/she should rule not guilty. In fact, the numerous cases where judge's should not blindly apply the law and I'm glad in the Netherlands we have judges who dare to stand up to misuse of laws...
