As a newbie, I disagree. I broke down and started playing about three weeks ago. Shortly after starting, a lv 80 friend of mine handed me 100 gold and told me to "have fun". What I noticed at first, was that I never really tapped in to the gold. The amount I made going through quests and selling crafted items - not burning time grinding or farming, seemed to be "just enough" to buy all my skills, alchemy components, repairs, etc. I wasn't running at a profit. But I wasn't running at a loss, either. As a couple-hours-a-night gamer, this seemed to be perfectly balanced. I was leveling at a good rate, was always equipped "well enough", and didn't have to waste my precious gaming time with mundane and repetitive tasks.

That all ended when I hit level 30 and went to my riding trainer.

35 gold?! WTF? So I tapped into my 100 gold "gift" and went on my way. But then I noticed the price of class and profession training skyrocketing as well. I've been running at a deficit since then, and figure that I'll need to seriously rethink my economic strategy within the next three levels. Because the gold I'm making just playing the game and auctioning BoE's isn't keeping up with my expenses.

He lies in the middle of the political spectrum and he feels that he might get a more of a chance to air his views with the democrats than with the republicans

Idealistic post - but entirely untrue. Specter is doing this as a matter of political survival, nothing more. As a Republican, he barely won his last primary in the previous election cycle. And after crossing the aisle several times this year, his polling numbers show that Republican voters are looking to punish him in his upcoming primary. However, he's still quite popular with Pennsylvania as a whole - a state who saw hundreds of thousands of moderate Republicans switch to the Democratic party in '08.
In order for Specter to win the General election (which he probably will, irrespective of Party) he first needs to win his Primary. And it appears that if he were to stay a Republican, the odds of a victory here aren't that good.

Ummmm. You are aware that some of the vestigial organs we possess were once used to help aid in the digestion of raw meat, right? Once we learned how to cook our protein, evolution rendered these organs inert. Our earliest ancestors were carnivores, not omnivores.

Or the creature's claws scraping the sides of the kettle as it thrashes around. The lobster, in other words, behaves very much as you or I would behave if we were plunged into boiling water (with the obvious exception of screaming). "Will you be able to render a verdict using only the judge's instructions on how the law is to be applied."

I was under oath, and obligated to raise my hand indicating that I might not be able to do this. When I was questioned about my response, I had to answer honestly to the point that I could not follow the Judge's instructions if I felt the law was being applied in an unfair way. I was immediately dismissed.
