Emphasis on little - the clients appear to work fine with each other, so I'd say the difference is primarily in the branding. The old NS (4.x) browser integrated client is the only significat part I can not find these days (hardly surprising).
Someone DID slurp up Netscape Calendaring Server in a manner of speaking: It was just a rebrand of what was then call CSTime, which after a few name/owner iterations is now owned by Oracle and part of ther collaboraton suite.
I agree, it DOES really rock.
Yup, it sure crashes. The viewer on its own works fine, but when used as a plugin to mozilla it will segv every time. I've tracked it down to the "-progressPipe 3" option.
As I use FDF a LOT, this is a major show stopper and so I've emerge-ed it back down to 5.0.10.:-(
Assuming you have a mobile phone to go with it, you can send off your notes now and then. Depending on the papper application ("ASH") your notes may be merged into a nice book and what you write may be intereted into your preferred language.
If you occasionally have web access during your trip, you can edit the above and/or send it off to your friends in either text or PDF format (so they can see your multi color drawings etc).
In fact, I've developed a system exactly like that - runs on Linux too...

I think you are thinking of the results of reciting poetry - you'll have to wait for the H2G2 film, or perhaps Shatner has some Vogon friends? ;-)
If you've got a phone anyway you may as well use it along with a digital pen for notes taking as well as sending postcards during your trip.
