Well, then, I guess it is time to show the cards: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10...

This article is 7 years old, the city abolished the practice in 2010 as far as I can tell. Not to say that it wasn't a ridiculous situation, just that it isn't still the case.

I don't see any evidence of this and there is a ton of evidence to the contrary. Even toll roads don't come close to paying for themselves with the gas tax. See here and any number of other links: http://publicola.com/2011/01/04/all-together-now-roads-do-not-pay-for-themselves/

Thanks for saying that, we are not a race of super beings just by virtue of our intellect and we're a lot more instinctual than most of us are willing to admit. Talking about the sanctity of gods creations while driving thousands of them to extinction is pretty ridiculus. Do you have any links for this? Is this going to be the new cannibalism? Although the antibiotics and hormones they're putting into the animals will probably get you before your genes can.

I'm attracted to the the mini Ipod because the size really makes the difference between a good workout player and just too clunky. Plus the difference between 3GB and 15GB isn't as big as it seems. 3GB is plenty of space considering how often I'm near a computer that allows me to reload songs. Also IPOD is not the only player that allows you to play audiobooks. The new Gateway DMP-X20 has a 20GB HD and has both FM radio and Audible compatibility. However I haven't been able to find a good review of it and am wary of gateway.

I think this is a great idea. In fact it is one that has been put into practice by several blogs. Both Atrios and Daily Kos have taken up collections which have gotten them meetings with the head of the Democratic National Committee. Slashdot could easily raise enough money to get Cowboy Neal an audience with Committee Chairmen or even Dick Cheney in his undisclosed location.

Diebold voting machines also report to a Microsoft Access Database. There is a walkthrough on Blackboxvoting.com which shows how easy it is to break in to, view, then cover your tracks. It actually would be kind of fun if it weren't so scary.

When the CEO of one of the largest voting machine manufacturers (Diebold) sends out a fund raising letter saying he is "committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the President next year." you have to be at least a little skeptical. http://www.portclintonnewsherald.com/news/stories/ 20030827/localnews/140871.html
