    2. My wife sees the rainbows on DLPs. It's less obvious with higher-priced models (where the color wheel spins faster), but it renders them unwatchable for fast content (like sports or action movies) for her.

    Just a note on this... I have a DLP projector (freaking love it). I saw rainbows when I first got it, but oddly enough, I must have gotten used to them fairly quickly because I can't remember the last time I saw a rainbow.

    You can keep it currently when you cancel your account (kind of). I just cancelled my parent's account a couple months ago, and it just converts your user name to a free AIM web mail account.

    If your user name was username@aol.com, this is what happens...
    1) Any mail people send to username@aol.com after you cancel automatically goes to username@aim.com.
    2) Any mail you send from aol.com web mail goes out as if from username@aim.com

    But the important part being 1), you don't need to tell everyone you have a new e-mail address.

    Found that while I was in college and never looked back (they started us on vi). And boy was I happy to see that in my terminal in OS X!
    I do realize that it is too simple a program for anyone here.

    Yep, OS X supports VNC in the sharing control panel without any special software. In the newest system there is a checkbox in the remote desktop sharing that says "Allow connections via VNC" with a password box. It works great with multiple VNC clients. I couldn't believe my eyes when I connected to control my Mac from a PC and it worked!

    All I had to do was check a box in OS X that said allow VNC connections and set a password. No special VNC server software or anything, it was very cool to have that as part of the default OS and soooo simple to turn on.
