    git config branch.autosetuprebase always

    Or add --global to apply this to your personal settings. I don't understand why they didn't make this the default behavior, but there you have it. (And why "especially on windows"? What's different about doing it on windows?)

    Look, it's simple: if the USDA didn't inspect meat-packing plants, the free market would step in and offer that service. Therefore, the USDA is not a government agency. And Ron Paul should get meat for free.

    people tend to choose the same one or two items whenever they call a particular restaurant for delivery or take-out. And restaurants tend to have a few popular items that they make particularly well. Why not match up supply and demand with a smart button that makes ordering super-simple?

    For people who think that ordering food delivery is just too much work.

    why not just add a parenthesis with something like "I suggest Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, or Pinot Noir. A $6-$7 wine will be fine for this recipe"?

    Because it's bullshit. If a recipe calls for "red wine", you can just grab a bottle at random and you'll be OK. Hell, I know a chef who uses Night Train as his default cooking wine, and the results are pretty tasty.

    Do you happen to know how hard it is to mount a cargo rack on the roof? Some of the newer cars don't allow you to just use a generic rack, you have to buy a special one from the factory for like 400 bucks. If the Ferrari is like that, I'm definitely not getting it.

    DST isn't a constant factor. Some regions have it, some don't, some start and stop it on different dates, and all of the above is subject to change at any time. If your software needs to be aware of DST, then you should have already done something to allow for those changes. If you just hard-code the fall-back and spring-forward dates, something's gonna break anyway.

    If you went back in time to the 1970s and described a smartphone to someone, that's exactly what they'd say. Some products create their own niche.

    Imagine this: a construction worker puts on a visor. He taps a button, and the new building's frame appears. Another button, and the plumbing system appears. Another button, and the Red Sox game appears in the upper left corner of his field of view. Another button, and a busty woman appears and asks to borrow his hammer. Worker productivity plummets, and software companies get rich.
