So, as another poster asked, what happens if you forget to take your camcorder OUT of your car when you go to the drive-in (and yes, there are still drive-ins in California)?
A lot (all?) of police cars have video cameras on the dashboard for evidence purposes (and of course, to sell to "America's [adjective]est [noun]s"). If a police car came into a drive through, could you then make a citizens arrest on the cop for breaking this law?
*Very* limited selection of legal ROMs for purchase - pretty much only about 50 Atari ROMs at the moment, but I'm sure the catalogue will grow, given enough support.
Thats exactly it. If violent games sell really well, then it doesn't take a business genius to decide its a good investment to make more. Contrary to what it seems, devs come up with *loads* of great quality game ideas with innovative gameplay elements. Its the publisher that turns them down - its too much of a financial risk (unless you are an established "name", or have a prestiged lead designer).
Do not for one minute think that game developers can't come up with fresh ideas any more. Its purely a numbers game. Soul-less clones sell well and thats what the common man wants. Its sad, but its a lot like films. If you want innovation, look for the arthouse developments that self-publish over the web. Big development outfits can't afford the risks they take.
It also associates the anti-spam sites with child pornography.
In the long term I agree with you, but in the meantime, Echelon (et al) has picked up all these emails confirming despatch of porn going to the anti-spam sites.
I suppose it isn't hard to prove they were attacked, but it might cause them headache.
The rules they laid out were pretty overly harsh IMO.
Rules
No copyrighted material _at all_, no ports, remakes or updates of existing work. They should have allowed it, but marked up people for originality instead. Its not exactly encouraging to the newer coders.
Maybe thats why they only got 19 submissions. One of them even got disqualified for using a music track from some obscure dance artist.
Take my advice, try Aliens Vs. Predator 1/2. Brown trouser time, my friend. You are really missing out if you think Doom is the only FPS that can provide scares.

you show me someplace I can go and pay to play all of those games and I'll be there

Has it been ported to the GameBoy Advance?
Seriously, anyone seen a GBA MAME? or c64 or any kind of GBA emulation?
I understand the games would probably have to be compiled along with the emulator into a single GBA ROM, but has anyone attempted it?
Therefore, have gun sales gone up too? How about school shootings?
The gunman tried to install third party hardware.
The bullet obviously didn't have an authentic Microsoft Signed Security Certificate, so the machine rejected it.
Anyone remember Robocop 2?
Sod Robocop, remember the Matrix sequels?
"Hmm, so people liked the fight scenes, huh? They're going to love this..."
