Back in 1999 I started collecting very large amounts of fan subbed anime in various file formates. Over a 3 year period I burnt near 300 anime CD's. I have gone through 3 CD-ROM drives in this period as well.
The first CD-ROM drive died possibly due to over burning disks.
The second drive died due to being used too often to read disks. And the third one died for the same reason as well due to my hosting of an anime server on hotline. (Ah the good old days).
As of recently I have been looking into moving my collection onto DVD storage. I have found some interesting statistics.
Of brand name disks, I have seen so far 100% data integerity, even at 3 - 5 years old.
As for those no-name cheap brands, they seem to be averaging 75% data integerity. As for memoryx, it has a solid 0% data integerity.
All in all, depending on use you will need to continue replacing your optical drives. As for optical storage, make back ups of your backs at least once a year. Or else feel free to pay the money for those brand name CD/DVD's because they do a much better job living up to their life time warrenty.
Well it does seem my attempt to karma whore failed. It was meant as a joke but no +5 Funny:(
The text is a quote I stole from a/. sig or something "There are four sides to every story: Your side their side the truth and what really happened" as for the numbers, just a collection of random IP address from back in the day.
Just need an actual "pasword". My 63 character WAP password does me quite nicely, and I don't have to change it once in my lifetime since it would take near a googlplex years to crack with brute force anyways. If there's a problem in the firmware, well that's another story.
For those interested, my WAP passphrase is t2h4e1r0e4a1r0e5XXXXXXXXXXi7d1e6s1t1o9e0v5e9r1y5s7 t6o0r9y5y6o1u (Those 10 X's are just for my protection, can't give it all away now or I might have to think about changing it!)
It began with http://www.animesuki.com/Animesuki receiving http://www.animesuki.com/doc.php/legal/mediafactor y.html a legal notice from Media Factory. Animesuki quickly responded by removing the material in question, while the fansub groups proving the material continued producing it. (Animesuki is a tracker, much like http://www.torrentspy.com/) http://www.wannabefansubs.net/ has continued producing episodes of School Rumble (which is owned by Media Factory). Now just recently their site has gone offline. I'm still wondering what happened. Any insights anyone?

Good Lord! In Canada, we go out in shorts and t-shirts when it's -3deg C; that's a hot day!
I've been buying alcohol without ID since I was 14, same with tobacco and the occasional porn. I finally turn 18 and I might as well throw out my legal ID.
How does requiring ID help when the people asking for the ID can't tell the age of the person buying?
Also I'm sure many kids have a friend or older sibling working at Wal-Mart that will let the ID thing pass and sell them the product anyways. Unless they punish stores that sell to those under age, I don't see this having a complete effect. Sure it'll work somewhat, but when you were young you could still get alcohol without ID if you really wanted it, right?

They used a pre tag for the page source. Who the hell would use pre if they're capiable of taking down an entire web server with ease?
"MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY
Gap in the clouds: head suddenly much clearer.
The spider is working on me."
I was diagnosed with schizophrenia in May 2001, and pronounced recovered in September 2004.
The first thing you must accept is that this is long term. No one gets better over night, 12 - 36 months is normal. The medication for the illness is almost as bad as the illness itself; make sure your sister can take all the time she needs to rest. I was sleeping 16 hours a day on average. If your sister was in school, or had a job, she most certainly will not be able to get there everyday. Pushing her to continue school, or continue work is far from a good idea right now. She must take her medication everyday. Missing just one dose doubles the chance of relapse. You and your family may have a hard time coping, but your concern about how you feel that is complete selfishness. Your sister is the one with the illness, and one quote I read "If depression was the common cold of psychological disorders, schizophrenia would be the cancer." is entirely true. She needs a lot of loving care, and she needs to take things very very slow. One question to ask, "What's another year?" What's so bad if it takes her another year to complete school? Forcing herself to live her life as she usually did will have horrific results. She does not need any stress right now - just understanding and comfort.
I lost 2 years of my life to the illness, but I did recover. Recovery is possible, always remember that. It will take a year, maybe 5 years... but 1/3 do recover with no chance of relapse. There are a lot of scary statistics, but as long as she takes her medication everyday, and minimizes her stress, things may improve.
I'm sorry I'm not able to give more specific information, but from the details you gave, that's all I can say now. If you have more questions, I'll do my best to answer them.
Long term, even thought I had the illness, I did recover, and I am going onto second year psychology in University for a Ph.D. (My final mark in first year psychology was 90%) Once she recovers, she'll have as good a life as anyone, if not better.:)
How long did it take to create the code, and with what technology? Maybe no more than a few years, and with today's technology and older. Humans are flawed, and therefor this code will be imperfect. Find the human flaw in creating it, and you have your key. There are a very limited number of ways in which the code could have been chosen. Much less than one billion ways. Why waste time checking every singal posibility when you can generalize human flaws and guess the code quite easily. These people are not God's, and they are working wih very limited technology. The code can be cracked, and so it shall.
A few years back, I had an ISP which I thought offered unlimited access. One month, when my hotline server became a little extra populated, I accumulated a fair bit of bandwith on my cable modem.
The limits I found out to be 5GB downloads, and 1024MB(1GB) uploads, at a aditional cost of $5 per GB over the download limit, and $5 per 128MB over the upload limit. Welllll, being a 24/7 server maxing out bandwith, I managed to run my uploads to 38GB in 18 days. And also getting files for my server, I downloaded in the range of 50GB in that time. They gave me a phone call asking me to cest and desit. I'm not sure on the fees, but I remember back then I calculated my interent bill would have been $900 some dollars for that month. (They waved the $900 bill, thankfully.:-> )
Looking at my usage with the ISP, I downloaded 5GB in a day, and uploaded 1GB to 3GB a day. With a 5GB dl and 1GB ul limit, my limit would be reached the first day. Needless to say, I used a random complaint generator, sent them the letter, and switched ISP's. 6 ISP's later, ranging from Cable Modem, to Satalight internet, I'm here happy with my slow DSL with unlimited access and reliable service.

Thanks for the comments; I might just look into an APG (http://www.adel.nursat.kz/apg/) password replacement.

Let me be the first to say it.... It's a freaking laser!

But maybe not as fun as DOOM for System admin job. Still seems it may have the same effect of making a rather boring job more interesting.
I did mean 2003. Caught most type errors.. but missed that one. ^_^
